Small jobs welcome

"Very nice guy came on time. He figured out the electric and reported it to us . Good catch . we hired him to put in an oven and a microwave in a new cabinet that we paid 1200. Special order from Home Depot . Cabinet was a hard cut for him to cut out . The oversize oven was a easy cut he tried.I had to stepped in and finished it.The electrical work was good .the price of the job was in-line. But I always hire vets . And I will hire him again it was not a easy job to cut out or I would of try it my self. At the end of day it turned out Great."

"My roof attic fan had stopped working, I did not know where to turn. Didn’t know if I needed it fixed or replaced. I use Angi’s home advisor service and I was connected to AMR Electronics. They provided me with a roofer and an electrician to replace the attic fan. It was done promptly efficiently, and the technicians were very courteous. After the installation they cleaned up and explained everything that they had done. I was very satisfied."

"We hired Lenny Handyman through HomeAdvisor to repair fridge and oven after power surge. Everything ?kind of? got repaired, but there were continuing problems. Lenny?s communication with us, at the beginning, was good, but as more issues arose, communication deteriorated. We would DEFINITELY NOT recommend him, and would not use him again. Too bad, because he was a nice guy, however he did not have the necessary expertise to fix the problems from the start, and stopped returning our calls and messages. Trust me when I say he made his money on this job. Communication, and knowledge/expertise for the job is key - Lenny HandyMan did not fit the bill. Ultimately, both appliances needed to be replaced."

Small jobs welcome

"Lyman was recommended to us by our friends, We Hired Lyman to get our house baby ready. He installed all the baby proofing hardware and gates, painted the nursery, fixed holes in the walls, tested for lead, and removed flaking paint and plaster. He showed up on time, work was done according to the agreed upon budget, and he has a great taste in music so we were all happy! Heâ ll be back to work on a few more projects."

I have been in the construction industry in some capacity for almost 20 years now. I started in building maintenance and now I mange residential restoration projects ranging from $500-500,000.\nI love what I do and would love to be more hands on outside of the project management that I do only a daily basis.

FAQs for appliance (microwave oven) installation and replacement projects in Conshohocken, PA

A pro can finish the job in one to three hours. Countertop models are the quickest, but built-in, drawer, and over-the-range units take longer because the installer may need to run a new outlet, modify cabinets, or add venting. Any add-ons can push the timeline closer to the three-hour mark. Hiring a licensed installer ensures the wiring is safe and the appliance operates at peak performance.

Because an over-the-range microwave doubles as a range hood, it needs proper venting. You can opt for a recirculating model that filters and recirculates air back into the kitchen, or a ducted unit that exhausts outdoors. Are you unsure which route suits your cooking style? Ask your installer for guidance before making a purchase.

Only microwaves labeled “over-the-range” have the built-in venting and lighting that’s necessary for safe, code-compliant use above a stove. Countertop models don’t have those safeguards. Before you swipe your card, have a licensed microwave installer confirm you’re choosing the right unit for the space and ensure compliance with local codes.

It’s best not to install a countertop microwave in your cabinets. Countertop models aren’t designed for use in an enclosed cabinet, and blocking those vents can trap moisture or even create a fire hazard. A built-in or drawer microwave is designed for tight spaces. Run your plans by an installer to make sure you’re buying the right style for the spot.

You don’t need an electrician if the outlet already meets the microwave’s power needs and sits in the right spot. In that case, you’re good to go ahead with the installation. If the outlet is undersized, outdated, or too far away, hire a licensed electrician to install a new one and ensure everything is code-compliant.

With routine care, most microwaves last between five and 10 years. To help them reach their maximum lifespan, wipe up spills immediately, wash the grease filter periodically, avoid using metal dishware, and close the door gently. Those simple habits reduce malfunctions and keep the appliance running smoothly for the long haul.
