"This contractor lacks customer service skills. Got charged for stuff that was not brought to the site. Got charged for a dumpster fee and there was never a dumpster. He went to my bank and had my bank call me when I was down with a medical problem. Not once, but 2 times. He claimed that he always orders more wood so he can go thru it at the work site, but he took all of the extra wood back and got the money back for that also. He also wanted me to call the insurance company, after the quote was already paid, and said that I needed to ask for more money. I called the insurance company and told them what was going on and they agreed that he has been paid enough for the job. Plus he pretty much calls his clients a liar if he has you do something in the beginning, like waiting for the insurance claim check to clear the bank, and wanted me to write a personal check. If you do hire this person, I would be very cautious and make sure that everything that is on your quote is actually brought out to the work site. Then there was the matter of where he came up to the door and asked if he could go 5 foot longer because he ran into a problem with the ground not being even. And if you have any balance left, like I did, which was $300.00, he tried to threaten me and said that if I didn't pay it ASAP that he was going to come and take down the fence. When he came back to get the remaining money, my husband went outside and took care of it. Mike brought his wife and said that he was recording the conversation, which was illegal, cause you have to ask for permission first to record ANY type of conversation before it happens. But if I was you, I would find someone else to do the work that you are needing done, because this one is not very honest. And his help kept going over and playing with the neighbors dog. Also we kept the old fence for something else, and he said that the insurance company said that I was doing fraud. So I called the insurance company and spoke to the adjuster and he said that it was the first time that he had heard of this. Mike will tell you something to try to scare you, but it didn't work out for him that time. Mike even called the insurance company asking for more money. That is when the insurance company called me and I told him about the dumpster, and how he was talking the trash to a friend's dumpster, because his friend is in the same business, so yeah, he got paid very well for the fence. He got what was on his quote, and that was all he was going to get. The cross around his neck didn't fool me. But he does need to talk with the Big Guy in the sky and explain it to Him as to what he said and did. But as to the fence, yes it does look nice and he did a good job. One thing, don't use pictures of someone else's job cause it is not the same as what you get. Close, but not the same. Plus I did not give permission for him to put my phone number on here. He does stuff on his own."
