"Stair runner was installed crooked and nails poking thru carpet. I have been trying to get it fixed for 6 months. Do not sign anything they give you unless you are 100% satisfied and you have read the paperwork. The second crew that came out to look at the issue tried to get me to sign a form. They said "it just says that we came out". That is not what it said. It said that the problem was fixed and that there are no more issues. They show up and say they will come back, then they don't come back. They took the remnant of my carpet to bind and "fix" the problem when they come back. Then, they didn't come back. And after each time they don't show or show and don't fix it, I get a text asking if I'm satisfied. Each time, we call and say we are not satisfied. There is no end to this experience. I am going for a full refund from Home Depot and asking them never to use this company again."

"I couldn’t be more happy with the process and the results!! Working with Jake and Parkstone Construction was unlike any other contractor experience I have ever had. He was very kind, a clear communicator, and a man of his word. Seems like it should be a given, but that hasn’t been the case in the past with other contractors we have hired (just getting those previous guys to show up when they said they would was enough to drive me crazy)! I am now thrilled every time I drive up to our house. The quality of the materials, the workmanship, and the end result are all just incredible. We will absolutely be calling Parkstone every time we need help with anything even remotely related to construction."

"I ordered two custom kitchen areas in my house. Plus granite. There were hardly any drawers. I ask for lots of drawers. Behind the doors on the lower cabinets there are no shelves. The granite is just a crappy mess with big Seams right in the main countertops. These tops are not very long and a standard piece of granite would work. I ordered hickory and as you can see some of the wood is not hickory. Top and bottom cabinets do not line up. I called and and requested for the owner to come to my house And go over the job with me. I was in Florida when it was complete and it took me A little over two weeks to get here to see the finished product. He went so far as to tell me that an animal must’ve gotten in my house and chewed on the corner of one of the drawers. The house is vacant. And I have cameras. No animal was in the house. They have absolutely no idea how to mount a slide in stove. So I have a space behind my stove without any marble. The countertop it’s slightly above the stove and it’s not straight against the stove and looks pretty bad. The side of one of the cabinets is so thin I can push it with my finger and it moves. I am still hoping that they might make some of this right. However they are not answering my phone calls and they are not calling me."

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Coolidge, GA

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
