He worked to clear a basement drain clogged with hardened grease, and had to use two different sized electric augers to gain access to the problem from two directions. He thoroughly explained prospective costs in clearing this clogged cellar drain before he started work in October 2015. The man knows how to use his equipment well, yet he worked for two hours before completing the job. His fee was reasonable. But in June 2016 the same job was less complicated than before, required less time and was done during the normal business day (about noon), and not after 5 pm as during the first call, yet the charges were noticeably higher. It is better to get an estimate before you agree to any project."
