"Beware!! This company put a fence in for me and I'm not really impressed for the 1000's of dollars that I spent. I live out of state therefore wasn't there for install. Come to find out once in town that gate is messed up and will hardly open cause when they put hinge on they split the 4x4 therfore it's shifted. Also needed assistance after the hurricane with fixing fence. At first they said they would go check it out in 2 weeks.. The receptionist said they would reach out within 2 weeks. Waited a month and reached out to them again due to not hearing and again they said it would be a couple weeks. Again I never heard from them. Fast forward 2.5 months I called back again and Mr Bill got on the phone and said that he would be out and gave me a day he would be there. When I called to confirm the day they were supposed to be there they canceled.. Nothing but frustration has come from using this company.. so as stated before Beware Usually do not post negative reviews but this company is ridiculous.."

"H & Y Fence is a horrible company to do business with. On 4/8/21, I signed a contract with H & Y to remove and replace 6 fence panels surrounding a human waste lift station. H & Y wanted half the money upfront, which I paid them. On 6/29/21, their crew finally came and removed 6 four-foot by six-foot fence panels. They were supposed to reinstall them the next day, 6/30/21. Six weeks later, we are still waiting, and community residents have to look at the human waste lift station. H & Y are in breach of contract. When I call them, I am told someone will call me right back. No one ever does."

"This review is directed entirely toward the customer service experience I received from Brittany, who answers the phone at Florida State Fence Corp. I initially contacted the company because I needed a section of my fence removed to allow access for a well repair. I was provided a quote for both the removal and the replacement of the fence, paid the invoice in full, and the removal was completed without issue. The problems began when I attempted to schedule the fence replacement. I contacted my representative, Christian, who provided a date and time for the work. That appointment came and went with no arrival and no communication. I called the office and was advised to reach out to Christian directly, which I did. At that time, I also requested a quote for a privacy fence. Christian apologized for the missed appointment and scheduled a second date for both the replacement and the quote. Unfortunately, that appointment was also missed without any notice. I left Christian a voicemail "

"(no subject) C Chrystal Boone to me 0 minutes agoDetails Robert Myers’s company was hired to replace my fence and to build a gate. After installation the property was left dirty; cigarette butts, a soda can, a rusty saw in my child’s play area, cut off wood pieces and labels, old fence left behind my shed and not hauled off. About a dozen fence panels were cracked and had holes. The gate was not functional. In speaking to Robert, he assured me it would be fixed. Someone did come out and fix some panels and add a bar to the gate. The trash was left and the gate is still so crooked it will not open. After a few weeks I called back asking if we could walk though again. He said Tuesday morning but did not mention a time. When he came for the first walk through, he suggested 6:30/7 AM so when he was not there at 7, I asked when to expect him. He replied 7:45-8:15. As I am a school teacher I am already at my school site then, so I called to check in and try to avoid miscommunication. This unfortunately is where things got very bad. Robert immediately began with a raised voice speaking down to me that I should not have expected him to be there before 8AM. I explained I was just using his last suggestion as a time, he yelled that it was a month ago and he has spoken to 200 customers since then. I tried very hard to speak calmly & restate my needs. The calmer & slower I spoke as I was yelled at the more angry he got. My calm voice was taken as being condescending as opposed to trying hard not to engage in a verbally abusive conversation. I shared that I had a handy man look at the gate and I was told that it needed a frame to hold it up he cursed at me and put me down. He yelled at me asking if I thought I was a fence builder as well as a teacher. I hung up the phone before it could escalate further. This was a disgraceful way to be treated. I would never recommend this business. The fence was put up with poor craftsmanship, the property was left with debris, the gate is unusable and I have to rebuild it and I was cursed out by the owner when I asked for it to be fixed. Absolutely disgraceful"

Our objective is to provide the finest quality of fencing available at a reasonable cost to consumers (both commercial and residential) and at the same time adhere to the highest possible installation standards. We are old school!\n\nI installed my first fence as an employee of a small fence company in Safety Harbor Fl. in 1975. After working for this company for several years, I bought my first truck in 1979 and sub-contracted wood fence installation from Master Fence in Tampa. It was at Master Fence where I was taught how to install chain link fence and was shown a system of installation that was easy to understand, could be applied to any type of fence, and ensured a quality job that looked good and would stand the test of time. (We still use this system 30 years later.) From the very beginning, I have always stressed quality installation with quality materials.\n\nIn the mid 80’s, we started doing some work for a few auto dealerships, namely Dimmit Cadillac and Clearwater Nissan. It was through these people I was introduced to Canco General Contractors. Canco was to become my best customer for years to come as well as a good learning ground. Through Canco, other contractors in the area were made aware of my company and the quality of our service and work. At one point, we were installing fence for three companies that built automobile dealerships!\n\nThroughout the 90’s and into the new millennium, I continued to install all types of fencing, expanding into aluminum, ornamental steel, and PVC. In 2003, I built and moved into my present facility on Marlborough Street in Oldsmar. I am proud to say I still install with the same techniques and quality that I started with some 30-odd years ago.
