"Big Pine is always excellent. They are skilled, thorough and careful to leave the work site spik and span. On top of their proficiency, their rates are quite reasonable."

"I am a single woman and a professional engineer. That means that although I could probably do most of my 'handyman' work, I do NOT have the time to. That makes it tough for hiring individuals who think that just because I'm female, blond (I really am) and work out of my house that I'm rich and stupid. We all know the types.... However, Jess was not like that. I actually liked him. He was professional, punctual and knowledgeable. His prices were fair. However, I asked for a written estimate and never received one, therefore I did not use him for the job that I needed. I have found a different 'handyman' in the area that I work with."

"The crew did a great job installing 125' of vinyl fence and gate.  They navigated around thick shrubs and trees while maintaining a level, straight line. They did it in a timely manner and minimized messing up the yard.  Although vinyl fencing is expensive, pricing seemed very competitive with other bids secured. The crew chief was personable and attentive to our needs.  We really couldn't ask for a better experience.  Certainly would use their services again and highly recommend to others."

"This was a huge job, and Erhart Construction handled it well from beginning to end. Jerry did the initial inspection that confirmed the damage we suspected and contacted the SIP company to file our claim. He met their engineer at our house, took core samples for them, and did all follow-up with the company --no small amount of work! And this was all done before we signed a contract that guaranteed him the job. <br /> We received a partial settlement from the SIP company since the damage was their fault. However, since their warranty only stated that they were liable for the actual product they replaced (not for any damage that resulted because of their negligence), our portion was substantial. Jerry did a great job of walking us through the process of what needed to be done and helping to eliminate unnecessary items so that we could stay within our budget. He fielded an enormous number of questions and "what if's" and reworked his entire plan for doing the project at least three times before we came up with something that we all felt was suitable. <br /> By the time work began on this project, our family had re-located (due to job situation), and my mother was left living in the home. I felt completely comfortable leaving Erhart Construction in charge of the job, even though we were moving across the country. Jerry was great about returning e-mails and calls in a timely manner and kept us in the loop on how things were progressing. <br /> He notified us about unexpected issues that arose (like the moldy bathroom sub-floor) and gave us different options on how to resolve those issues. He allowed my mom to pick up materials for things she was particularly interested in (like bathroom tile, light fixtures, etc.), which enabled us to save some cost on materials (she got a full pallet of tile for less than $100!) He upgraded the shingles on our roof to a higher quality and increased the R-factor in our roof by putting more toward materials than toward labor. He also re-used materials that were still in good condition whenever possible -- another factor that kept our costs within budget. <br /> Since we still live across the country and are currently re-locating out of the country, I haven't seen the finished worked in person. Jerry sent photos with the final statements that document all of the work completed, and they look great! My brother, who visited there recently, was awed by how good it all looks and the attention to detail. And my mother, who's lived through the whole process, is extremely pleased with the end result. <br /> Overall, we couldn't be happier and will recommend Erhart Construction to everyone who asks. <br />"

"The surface and the steps of a concrete porch on my duplex were disintegrating. Because this is a rental, I could not take the time to replace the entireporch. Mark was recommended to me by a local lumberyard; after I called him, he immediately came by, He fully explained what hewould do and gave me a bid. He completed the work within a week because I had to leave town. The next summer the big hail storm hit and destroyed an emergency exit window. Because I was so pleased with his first job, I asked for a bid and requested that he complete the job even though I was out of state. I had no problem paying him for the work even while I was out of state because I trust his work. When I later visited Bozeman, I was impressed that the quality of the frame was even better than it was originally."

"These two young men were wonderful to work with. They communicated professionally and regularly. They showed up in time and worked diligently. The quality of work exceeded my expectations. They even came back with better tools to dive deeper into some stubborn stains in my window wells. Delighted to have met them and will happily hire them again and refer them out to friends."

FAQs for handyman service projects in Corvallis, MT

Winterizing shields your home’s structure and key systems from snow, ice, and freezing temperatures. By sealing drafts and tuning up heaters, you cut energy waste, extend the life of appliances and windows, and avoid surprise repair bills. A small up-front investment keeps rooms cozy and protects the value of your biggest asset all winter long.

Yes, it’s important to prepare your sprinkler system for the winter. Blowing out the lines and insulating above-ground parts keeps valves and pipes from splitting when temperatures drop. A quick winterization visit costs far less than repairing burst components in spring, and it ensures your lawn--and your wallet--stay in good shape once the thaw hits.

A full home winterization plan goes beyond sealing windows and pipes. You might schedule a home energy audit, cover outdoor furniture, service the snowblower, swap smoke-detector batteries, add outlet gaskets, and hang storm doors. Each step beefs up your home’s protection, cuts drafts, and lowers the chance of costly cold-weather damage.
