"David spent the past 3 days at my home refacing my kitchen cabinets and I could not be happier with the experience. Not only do they look great, but he is very consultative and helped me make informed decisions on judgment calls like handle placement. He also went above the call of duty and moved a cabinet to the right of my range 1/4 inch to give it the necessary wiggle room to safely pull it out in the future. Great guy, totally focused on client satisfaction - 5 stars!"

"My kitchen and bathroom custom cabinets look amazing. The attention to detail and craftsmanship of these cabinets is superb. Leigh’s Construction made flat front panel -natural white oak cabinets for a modern look .. some kitchen cabinets have a glass door with white oak framing. I have received so many compliments on the cabinets because they look absolutely gorgeous. I highly recommend this company."

"The entire process went very well. I would reccommend Pullouts Plus to anyone who wanted to update their kitchen and make everyday chores alot easier for a very reasonable price.. In fact, as an example of Dave Taylor going the extra mile without thinking twice about it for several weeks I have had a bit of a loose seat on my main bathroom. I rarely use this bathroom but all my guests do. Dave adjusted it and didn't mention it until this 2nd visit in which he installed my shelves. I did notice when cleaning the bathroom that the seat seemed to have tightened up and now I know why. Overall a very pleasant experience from start to finish. High quality work completed very promptly and with thorough clean up. I have been thinking about getting my cabinets refaced and I now know who I'll call to do the work."

"I could not be more pleased with the work done by PK, from my initial contact through finished product.   <br /> The preliminary communication (email) in early September included price quotes based on my photos and scheduling information. We scheduled the week-long project for mid-November, and PK adhered to this timeline.  Upon my delivery of the table, Pete and Kim took a intense interest in the piece and its history. They also kept up good communication while the table was in their shop. I was able to choose a stain midway through the project when Pete applied 20 or so colors to one of the leaves so I could really see what it would look like on the wood.  On the same visit to the shop I was able to see the table taken apart and stripped, and the structural reinforcements Pete made to this 100+ year-old piece.  <br /> The finished product is so satisfying.  It is gorgeous, but it's not only its beauty that makes me happy--I rather expected that.  I did not expect and am really pleased with the reconditioning.  For example, the table has nine leaves, so the extending mechanism on the underside of the tabletop is substantial.  The two halves of the table simply glide apart and together now, rather than the yank and thrust that was required before.  I was not knowledgeable enough to know that this was not "normal."  I am grateful for Pete's expertise that improved my table in ways I would have never known to ask for. <br />"

"From the first call & bid Peter was professional and clearly knowledgeable. He made me feel confidant that he would be able to restore and match our faded and worn cabinets to the other cabinets we had. His crew took great care to seal up (with plastic walls) their work area so as to minimize dust throughout the house. They were on time, polite, worked hard & did an excellent clean-up job. My cabinets look like new! A couple days later (after they were all done) I realized a small area had been missed (baseboards). After a quick call to Peter they guys came back out a few days later and took care of it. I would definitely use these guys again!"

"At the Portland Home and Garden show this last fall, we talked to Miller Home Renovations (Bath Planet) and a few others. We decided to have Millers come out and give us a quote because of the displays had what we wanted and also they could do a remodel. The others could not. John came out and gave us a quote for one bathroom. Compared to cost of my Mom's remodel of JUST a Jaczzi walk in shower, we had two bathrooms remodeled for the same price. Our remodel consisted of 1st bathroom a new walkin shower, toilet, vanity top and faucet, floor and replace vent. The 2nd was a new walkin shower, toilet, floor and replace vent. The first of the year they came our to do our install. Larenzo came in and tore out the tub and lined the and prepped the wall and base of the two bathrooms. Allen, Bob and Shane followed him and started the rest of the tear down. They worked in the main bathroom first. leaving the second bathroom intact without the bathtub so that we still had a bathroom to use. We were only with out a shower for two days but still could use the bathrooms. Two and one half days later we had our bathrooms done. The crew was very informative of what was happening as they went along. Cleaned up after themselves. We were impressed with every aspect of the install and sales. We really love our bathrooms now! Wish we had done this years ago. THANKS"

"The team was prompt and responsive. The job took exactly the length of time they had estimated, including the "jobs within the job" (the sanding was done on the day they said, as was the staining and finishing. Cabinets look great! <br />"

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Corvallis, OR

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
