"The installation crew arrived on schedule and immediately began removing the old fence. The removal included digging out old concreted post and hauling all the scrap off the premises. Once the work site was clear, the crew started and pretty much went non -stop each day  until the work was done (including in the rain at one point). We are very proud of the quality of craftsmanship and finished looks of the fence. The crew was very polite, friendly, and professional. "I called JD early in the morning. My privacy fence gate had been rickety for several weeks and had finally completely come off the hinges. He answered immediately and agreed to come by late that afternoon to take a look and give me a price. He came on time, and even though it was freezing cold,very windy, and almost dark, he said he could fix it right then. He pointed out that the gate was actually on upside down and it fixed it satisfactorily in less than an hour. I will call JD again for handyman work. <br />"

"They were good. They brought it out, just dropped it off. They'll do the construction work for you if you like and put the fence up. They gave me a round figure for our yard but I put the fence up myself. He's really a nice guy. For the price, I looked around and it's about the same. I was totally satisfied with the price and I was totally satisfied with the material that I got from them. There was not a problem."

"Excellently.  John was totally professional and did everything he said--and within budget and on time.  He is friendly, courteous, and professional.  I highly recommend him. <br /> Here is the real bottom-line:  John did a number of different jobs, including repairing a door that was leaking, for $3000.  Earlier, I had had a Lowe's representative look at the door;  he informed me the door was beyond repair and offered to sell and install a new one for $14,000!!!!    I'll go with Mr. Clean every time!!! <br /> Additionally, when I was having a leakage problem prior to the door being fixed--and it was delaying installation of a floor I had purchased, John made a special trip to my house on Saturday morning just to help out.  Now that's service!!"

"We researched 2-3 local general construction companies and Pickett Construction was the most engaged and reasonably priced. Our lead contractor was well organized and kept the project on task despite us not setting any hard deadlines for completion. He listened well to our requests and did his best to meet our needs. We communicated on a daily basis and often multiple times by text message and emails. Our lead person was quick to respond and would come onsite regularly and on an as needed basis. The crew was professional and courteous. We felt safe with them in our home while we were at work. With any construction, there will be miscommunication or issues that arise. Our lead person was always quick to address any concerns or issues, either with the crew correcting the issue or redoing the work to our liking. Our lead and his crew anticipated needs based on their experience (e.g. placement of light switches, plugs, etc.) and kept us abreast of daily progress.
