" recently had City Plumbing and Rooter AZ replace my traditional tank water heater with a tankless system, and the entire experience was excellent from start to finish. The installation was done completely up to code, which gave me a lot of confidence in the quality and safety of the work. The master plumber was outstanding?extremely professional, knowledgeable, and detail-oriented. He took the time to explain the process, answered all my questions clearly, and made sure everything was done right the first time. You can tell he takes real pride in his work. The upgrade to a tankless water heater has been a great decision, and I?m glad I chose a company that delivered such high-quality service. I highly recommend City Plumbing and Rooter AZ to anyone looking for reliable, professional plumbing work."

"Bill did a great job and really hustled to complete all the jobs in just a few hours, including a rebuild on the toilet. We have an older home (built in 1970) that posed a few challenges but we are very pleased with the quality of the work and the price."

"Scott was amazing!!! We have an older 1950s ranch so it’s definately not plumbed for a water softener. He was the only person that took the time to look around the job site and check the attic for how much work would actually be required. When he explained the product he made it very simple and there were no gimmicks or tricks. He treated our home as if it was his own and installed everything perfectly. No wires or pipes showing like the other bids I received. Very knowledgeable and down to earth. I wish I would have done this three years ago instead of waiting for my fixtures so start deteriorating. The whole home solution is like a whole new experience!"

"I had just purchased my mobile home the last week of December and remodeled the entire inside. I had the original plumbing, that grey stuff, and as I began to install new fixtures on the inside, joints began to break. I made the repairs my self however in February, I received a call from my neighbor that water was flooding out from under my house and that he had shut off the main water line. In a panic, I called three plumbing companies explaining the situation and that because of my earlier experience with the plumbing, I not only wanted the new leak fixed but that I wanted to re-plumb my entire home. The first company went by while I was at work and said to fix the existing leak it would cost $250.00 and to re-plumb the house would be an additional $1,500.00. He left his quote on the back of his business card. The second company to show up was Courtesy Manufactured Home Plumbing. WOW, was I impressed. Not only did he identify my leak but HE FIXED IT! He called me at my office and said he'd wait for me to get home to discuss exactly what I wanted. This impressed me! After walking the job, Jerry wrote me a proposal identifying exactly what he was going to do including an itemized parts list. Again better than on the back of a business card. His proposal was $1,200.00 with the proposition that he would meet or beat any other proposal. The third companies proposal came at $3,500.00. I chose Jerry with Courtesy Manufactured Home Plumbing. Now the best part. He started work the next day and was finished the same day all while I was at work. Yes he had access to the inside of my home which I felt comfortable allowing him. Not only did he do the contracted work but he did additional work I asked of him for just a few dollars more. My little dog was caged while Jerry was working and I told him I didn't want to burden him with the responsibility of watching him if he was out. Well Jerry was kind enough to let Thor out while he was working inside which I was grateful for. Jerry's work was professional, clean, on time and on budjet. I have asked Jerry to do additional work for me sense, and will use him again and again. I recommend Jerry to anyone needing a plumber for any reason. Not only was his price fair but his work was excellent and on schedule. And yes, he is also a very kind man. Not a man of many words but a man who gets the job done. USE COURTESY MANUFACTURED HOME PLUMBING for all your plumbing needs. Sincerly, Robert Moore <br />"

"I highly recommend JDS Improvements - for roofing or any other work. (I will be hiring him to do other work around my house later this year.) He removed the old roof and two skylights and replaced them. He coordinated with the HVAC company to remove and replace the roof air conditioner so I was without air conditioning for only a few hours, which, in Arizona is so needed in July! He repaired the inside walls/ceiling that had to be trimmed to accommodate the new skylights. Extremely professional, IMPECCABLE INTEGRITY, responsive, listened and answered all of my many many questions, and accommodated my special needs. His crews are very respectful and after the work was done they cleaned up all areas - inside and outside. When they had to work inside, they put paper on the floors to walk on, paper on the counters, and then put plastic around the skylight opening when they repaired that area. They cared for and respected my house as if it was theirs and left it clean with no trace they were even there. Nothing was too small - the attention to the details was welcoming. Having lived in Sedona for 10 years I have finally found a contractor who does what he says he is going to do, shows up when he says he is going to show up, and not only walks you through the process but also talks to you about possible complications/issues and offers multiple solutions. QUALITY WORK AT GOOD RATES. I know I will never hire any other contractor for any home project I have in the future!! I know that I will never have to worry that the job was done right - the first time!!!"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Cottonwood, AZ

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
