The job was done in the most professional manner and the results are exactly what I was hoping for. Rich spent quality time up front planning and actually listening to what I was trying to achieve. His understanding of my end state enabled him to engage and suggest better ideas in many cases. The installation team were pros who worked hard and on some pretty uncomfortably cold days to get the job done asap. They removed all signs of their work upon leaving; i.e., it was clean! "2014 they came right away took measurements & gave recommends and then sent us a contract thru email. All done very promptly. Removed & reset both front gates, hung gates, removed & replaced 10' of chain mesh & slats, straightened line post & repaired bottom rail, straightened 18 posts & added concrete, replaced 12' of top, repair & replace done on rusted out gate. Excellent work. They were so good we used them again - said I needed them asap & they said they'd try to get to me same day but might be tomorrow - they came same day. I'll be using them again to close up the fence when all the backyard work is finished."

"We used this company years ago for a beautiful cedar fence and it was a wonderful experience then. So we decided after moving we would use him again. Rick from Long Lumber was as good as he was 10 yrs prior. Rick has an amazing eye with his attention to detail in his design & using quality materials. I told him what I had in mind and he made it happen. He took the time to explore a way to get me a 10 foot wide custom arched vinyl gate, a beautiful arbor and panels. Our home is a simple, builders grade home even though we paid for "custom" but nothing is custom except for high prices set differently for every person in Ted Cillis III development. Anyway, the fence arrived on the date he said it would, it was designed the way I was envisioning, and installed by Ken from New Scotland Fence, who Rick recommended. Everything came together beautifully. We enjoy the visual statement it makes, the functionality with privacy and security. "I called SDS in March for the removal of a topped tree and trimming of branches over the street, the fenceline, and the cables and buildings on our property. The estimate appointment was quick, and when I called to schedule the service, I got a projected date of about 3 weeks later. My personal schedule bumped the date to 4 weeks out, but it would've been right on the dot otherwise. The crew arrived early on the scheduled date and the foreman walked the property and confirmed the work with me. All the workers wore PPE and were coordinated and efficient. Their arborist climbed 2 of the trees to prune off limbs, and they also used a lift to get into the canopy and trim the branches near our house. They were careful to secure all removed material on its way down, and they removed the branches, logs, and other debris from the premises. The whole project took about 2 hours, which was much faster than I was expecting. I was impressed with the SDS crew's speed, care, and safety, and I'll definitely give them a call next time our little urban forest needs some management."

"Amril was very responsive, I had him come to my house before purchasing the 'Handyman for a Day' deal, to see if the tasks I had in mind could be done within the 8 hours. We determined it could be done by 2 men in 4 hours due to the weight and size of door to be installed and the second story work from a ladder. Purchased the deal and we agreed that he would do the work once I had the materials on hand. I purchased the door, had to be ordered and took 2 weeks to arrive. Meanwhile, I also purchased a strip of siding and J-channel to have on hand for repairs and the caulk. Admir supplied the fasteners needed for the siding repairs.Once the door arrived, we arranged to do the work on my next day off. In the meantime, I had sent him the installation instructions to review prior to doing the job. Admir and his helper arrived on time and started right in on the work. Completed the storm door replacement in about an hour. Then the siding repairs. No more siding flapping in the wind! also replaced some cracked trim pieces. Caulked most of my windows, and we agreed I could finish up on my own after purchasing more caulk. The storm door looks good, however there were a couple of details that could have been completed better. Although I had sent him installation instructions and had a copy on hand, he did not really pay much attention to them. So the door is in, but a couple of parts were not installed, leaving some gaps at the bottom of door frame I had not read instructions either - just skimmed thru them, assuming he was the professional and would do it right. I will be able to do something about the gap, however. Siding repair was done well considering the way it was installed nearly 25 years ago. Before he left. I discussed a new deal his company is offering on Angie's List for some masonry work. I will definitely consider Ado Construction for future work, but I will pay more attention to detail before and during the work."

"I recently contacted Appliance Repair Technicians and left a message and was contacted promptly. A technician (Jon) arrived a day later and on time. Jon diagnosed the issue and explained that he could repair that problem, but there was also a balance problem when spinning, possibly from a recent move to a new residence. Jon explained the cost to replace the pump and repair the balance issue would be high and recommended purchasing a new machine. I feel that Jon's integrity and honesty were excellent. He then only charged me for his very low cost service call!"
