"I couldn’t be happier with this company’s work. The Blue Star team installed a paver patio, built a retaining wall, and did some landscaping and planting. Rodrigo was responsive and was very helpful when it came to materials advice or any other questions. His prices are very fair as well. I highly recommend Blue Star Landscaping and Construction!"

"Rivera Concrete Paving's $8,500 bid became $11,000. Owner Magdiel Rivera adds charges after you're committed and doesn't follow through after payment. Cost increases: I mentioned roots upfront - he said equipment could handle it, then charged $450. Said grading unnecessary, then created false urgency claiming we HAD to grade before concrete. Later said could grade after. Added $1,800. Crew broke drainage pipes, charged me $250. Couldn't move AC condenser despite my asking during estimate. Payment tactics: Said pay "when satisfied." Then requested half early, then full payment before done. When I said work incomplete, he asked "Don't you trust me?" then broke promises. Broken promises: Walkway cured wrong, no follow-up. $1,800 grading included 3-month landscaping - no communication. Promised debris cleanup, later said not responsible. Damaged 4-month fence, couldn't repair properly, paid $300 after pressure. Dismisses costs at estimate, adds them later. Makes promises, then excuses."

"Dale was very thorough in his examination of my situation and gave me clear explanations of what was going on. Other firms that quoted the work insisted that the entire basement needed to be done. Dale said that we only need to fix what is leaking. Cost to do that was one third that of other bids. Crew was on time, prompt and thorough. I would definitely use this firm again."

"This was a multi-faceted project and went very well with just a few minor issues. While I had a very detailed graph paper drawing of what I wanted, I failed to put a start date in the contract. So, starting was a bit later than I wanted. But, once it did, things went smoothly. The crew was very courteous & arrived in a timely manner each day. They did a beautiful job. When I had issues, they were immediately addressed. The owner showed up every day to see how things were going. My only problem was that the grass seed they used had an inordinate amount of weeds in it. I did not complain to the company about it because reseeding wasn't even in the contract. But, mostly because the rest of the job was so gorgeous. And, I could deal with the lawn myself. All in all, a beautiful job. Would highly recommend them."

"Robb and his team were incredible from start to finish. Really easy to get ahold of and communicate with. They redid our retaining wall last year and did our 750 sq ft paver patio this year. Both project a were done amazingly! Quality work that I know I’ll never have to worry about. And they went above and beyond by filling in the machinery ruts with soil, grass seed, and fertilizer. They also filled in a gap behind the patio wall connecting to our neighbors property. I highly recommend them! PS the price listed is for the paver patio."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Cudahy, WI

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
