"I hired Jovel to build stairs, retaining walls and planters connecting my existing patio to a new patio that I also hired Jovel's company to build. The stairs, retaining wall and planters were completed in September. In October, I had a licensed inspector at my home for another project and he pointed out that the stairs Jovel had built did not meet code. The inspector stated that stairs must be of equal rise and the lower and upper stairs were not in acceptable range with the other two. He also stated that three or more stairs required a handrail and that the stairs were POOR construction. Jovel has refused to correct the issue or refund any money paid. Please see pics for inspection report."

We searched for a paving contractor with an excellent reputation and after receiving several estimates we selected O. Cooper. We were unable to physically be onsite to go over the project but that didn't matter as Billy suggested we meet via FaceTime. He arrived at the property on time, and we were able to walk the project virtually discussing our vision and expectations. He promptly provided us with a very detailed estimate of the work to be performed along with a price quote. Once onsite we were impressed with the obvious preparation, coordination, and execution of the project. We are so pleased with the way the driveway turned out and are grateful to O. With routine maintenance, a new residential asphalt driveway can last 15 to 20 years. In regions with heavy rain or freeze-thaw cycles, plan on extra maintenance to hit the upper end of that range. Concrete surfaces last even longer, from 20 to 25 years. Regular sealing and quick crack repairs go a long way toward preserving both materials.
You can pour new concrete over an existing driveway as long as the base slab is solid. Pros often place a three- to four-inch overlay to create a strong bond. If the old concrete is cracked or spalling badly, it’s wiser to remove it and start fresh to ensure durability.
Keep the surface in top shape by sealing it on schedule and tackling damage right away. Roll on a quality seal coat every three years for asphalt, and reseal concrete as needed while patching any flaws you spot.
