"Anthony V. and Cooper W. were on time, very professional and knowledgeable. They carefully removed the patio pavers in about 12 different spots, drilled through the underlying slab, applied the expanding foam to fill in empty or weak pockets that had formed over time next to our pool, and then cleaned up and replaced the pavers so well that you cannot tell that any work had been done. VERY IMPRESSIVE!"

"Seemed like an easy straightforward repair to my toilet and seemed to fix the problem. After the plumber left, problem was still there. I phoned the company. Woman who answered the phone was polite and responsive; said the plumber would return asap, which he did. He replaced a different part, explained what was happening and made sure the toilet was functioning normally before he left. No more problem! Plumber was professional, polite, attentive and trying to do a good job."

"Barrett's Plumbing saved me a ton of headaches and money. Every 2-3 weeks I used to have to call someone to pump or clear my drain, ranging anywhere from $250-$300. Barrett's Plumbing was the only one to actually realize that I needed a whole new septic tank. Finally I no longer have to worry about any backups or flooding in my house."

We offer an overheat protection switch to keep your pumps protected. Our price point is far better than what would cost you to replace your well and centrifugal pumps. Preventive care is always better than reactive care. Aside from distributors and pump manufacturers, we don't have return clientele because our switch works perfectly. 5 minute installation and a product made in USA that is less than $200. Patented product.

"This is the 2nd time I've used them and the service is always great. They are responsive (returned my call quickly), show up when they say they will, perform quality work, and are friendly and efficient. John was at the condo today to repair a toilet that was not installed properly by my contractor. It was leaking waste water by the base of the toilet onto the floor (super gross). John was able to replace the old flange (it was lower than my floor tile which was why the toilet wasn't installed properly to begin with). He put the new flange in and made it higher than the floor so the toilet could drain properly. Very appreciative for the great work! Hopefully I don't need a plumber anytime soon but if I do, I'll be calling these guys again."

"The engineer from the company came by to inspect my residence and schedule the work.  The company indicated my power panel met the requirements and that my the job could proceed per the Angie's list offer (which I had already paid for).  When the installer came by to install the suppressor, they indicated my house was not grounded and that would be required to proceed.  Although I was not confident my house was actually not grounded, because I was directing the job from out of state, I had no choice but to add the grounding job at additional cost, to this project so we could proceed.
The job, including the grounding was done very professionally and efficiently.  The fact the company alerted me to this potentially lethal fault in my system prior to proceeding leads me to conclude this vendor is very through and views the customer's safety as highest priority.  So  although I had concerns this extra work might not be warranted (since the total job cost 3 times the original project plan to simply replace the surge suppressor), at the end of the day I am now confident that I have a great surge suppressor and a well grounded house that is safe for my family and visitors to enjoy.

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Cutler Bay, FL

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
