"I did this as a result of an Angie's List deal. What the plumber did not tell me was that if I had never flushed the 8 to 10 year old water heater previously, I shouldn't do it. Upon completion, the water heater leaked. Only then was I told that this is a common result of old water heaters that had never been flushed being flushed. You can't repair a leaking water heater. It has to be replaced. I have an 80 gallon tank, which is very expensive. Had I left well enough alone, the water heater might have gone on for years and years."

John was at the condo today to repair a toilet that was not installed properly by my contractor. It was leaking waste water by the base of the toilet onto the floor (super gross). John was able to replace the old flange (it was lower than my floor tile which was why the toilet wasn't installed properly to begin with). "Nothing was labeled and any breaker box which the inspector should have caught and didn't, and breakers are put in which don't make a lot of sense. My husband had to redo some things. I would be afraid to put anything on the one wall where the electrical is because they were supposed to have bundled that and condensed it instead of having it just loose, which is also when they were told by doing the breaker box that was never done. So there's a lot of loose wires all over, so I can't put a rack or anything on that wall. They could have done what the inspector had wanted them to do, bundle those wires and label the box."
