"I was in need of my fenced replaced and was able to get a quote in a professional and timely matter. Their crew came out and took down my current fence, took all the debris, and put up the new fence without any problems. They were able to answer all my questions and it was a good from the beginning till the end."

"We ended up with a very nice fence for a good price. Installation was delayed several times, but we weren't in a hurry. But, there were serious communication issues between different members of the staff that caused several problems. I was (apologetically) informed at the very last minute when the first crew would be there. They worked quickly and cleanly to remove our old fence and install the new posts, and did everything we asked. We were NOT informed when the next crew was coming to do the framing. I received a call from Fred while I was at work letting me know they had gone with the grade instead of stair stepped, and that it would be fixed. However, the framer had already trimmed down all the posts, including at the gate, where we were supposed to have a trellis. When the next crew came out to finish the fence, I talked to them that morning, and specifically talked about the trellis. He asked if it was going to be ok that the trellis would be that low, since the post was already cut, which was really annoying, as it was their fault that the post was cut down. He also questioned our choice of gate in the back, which was again, annoying. Looked like he was 20 years old. Really, the posts probably should have been ripped out and replaced. When I came home that day, I had a beautiful fence... and no trellis. No explanation or communication about it. Just not there. They had to come back, a few weeks later because of multiple delays, and install a trellis, which had the posts bolted on to the existing post. They had also installed the gate latch on the outside of the gate, which I asked them to fix, since that doesn't make sense, and they forgot to do that. There was one person on the office staff that always knew what was going on and was very helpful. There was another, however, that constantly gave me the wrong information and responded very slowly if at all. The positives: -Great craftsmanship, fence is beautiful and provides full privacy. My neighbor is very happy with it as well. -No money upfront. When the trellis issue came up, the helpful office person told me not to pay the bill until it was fixed -When I was told when the crews would be there, they were punctual, which was great since I was leaving for work late to meet with them. They were willing to meet me rather early to accommodate that. -Fred let me know right away about the framing mistake and made sure it was fixed -The price was very reasonable, lower than other estimates. Despite all the issues, I would hire them again. I don't think my experience was typical, I think I was just unlucky and hit them at a very busy time. I used to work in landscaping, so I understand the issues that arise. In the end, I'm very happy with the fence. I meant to call them in February to beat the rush, but time got away from me. I would recommend getting your estimate well before spring."

"We needed a fence, a post and 2 gates installed so our dog wouldn't be able to get out of the yard. In order to install the fence Joe needed to cut down some trees.  He did an outstanding job and completed the task a day early and cleaned up the mess.  Our dog enjoyed her new yard and we didn't have worry that she could get out.  The price was less than we anticipated and there were no hidden or additional charges. <br />"

"It went well. The two men doing the work were polite. They removed the old fence, including the posts and associated cement (part of the bid process). The post holes were dug and the posts installed in one day. The fencing went up two days later, and it was done quickly. The fence looks very nice; the boards have knots, but it appears they are all tight. I was very happy with the speed and quality of work. There were no gates in the portion I agreed to pay for, so the cost represents the TOTAL cost of the fence between the houses without any gates."

"We used RAM Mobile Welding for a small project a couple of summers ago. It was a small project but it was important to us and kind of tricky. We had a large, irregularly cut hole in our sport court that needed a sturdy, secure and visually attractive cover. We were very happy with Rick's work and with the care he took to get things right."

"Bottom line was the process and experience was good; bid price was horrible. Lamont Bros, who I've worked with before a couple years ago, were again prompt and professional. I know they do impeccable work which is why I contacted them. Both Daniel and Joseph were personable, professional and informative. They spent appropriate time surveying the chimney and attic, taking measurements, and explaining options and process. It was enjoyable. They asked what I wanted to budget [as low as possible! :)] and I said $20-25k knowing it was very low but with a budget in my head of about $35K to $40k. They said 20-25k wasn't really reasonable and said just a bathroom generally runs about 20K (which I've also heard from numerous contractors and friends who have had the work done) and that what we were talking about would probably be around 40K, depending on finishes. So I was expecting something in that ballpark. Instead, the bid was $90k to $115k. More than twice what was discussed and what I had budgeted in my head. I am friends with architects and engineers. my family knows contractors. I work for the City of Portland and discuss remodels, new houses, and other construction projects all day long. Some of our good friends just had a top tier contractor do a large remodel that included removing the wall between dining room and kitchen in a classic foursquare house, installing new support beams, putting in new high end hardwood floors on first floor (1000sf), remodeling and reconfiguring first floor bathroom in order to install a new exterior door from kitchen to back of house and building a second story deck that door opened out onto that deck - all for approximately $50k. All this to say the bid was extremely high. I get that our housing market is crazy and the cost of construction is expensive and increasing. Contractors have their choice of jobs and as such can price accordingly. And sure, there is an opportunity cost to taking on a specific job over others. But a bid of $90k-$115K seems like price gouging and taking extreme advantage of the current construction climate. I can only take it as a way of saying they'd rather do other, larger jobs for wealthy clients who don't have concerns about costs."

"I got a number of bids for this job. I chose Eric because he was very responsive and willing to work with us. His communication was excellent. He and his crew worked efficiently to remove old fence and get the yard closed in again. I have a big yard with lots of new plants. They moved materials and equipment carefully without damaging my plants. We had an issue with some unsatisfactory pickets which he fixed willingly. The fence looks great. Gates are solid well-built. Thorough clean up too. Eric was very professional and helpful in this big project. I would hire him again and have already passed his name on to a number of friends."

"<p>I have used 3Rs Construction before and was more than impressed with how polite and respectful the whole crew was. I told them at the end of the last project of installing new siding that when I was ready to move forward with my new bathroom I would give them a call and I did and to no surprise they were still great to work with.  Like always the guys were on time and very professional. They kept the mess as contained as possible and finished the job on time as promised. Once again they exceeded my expectations. My bathroom turned out amazing; they improved everything just as I had hoped for, new tile, an amazing new walk in shower, new vanity, paint, and trim. They even took the time to point out several reasons the tile I originally had selected would not be a good fit for our lifestyle. (Thanks again you guys.) If you need any work done, I would happily recommend 3Rs. </p>"
