Hello, my name is John Michael. I have been in the landscaping and various construction trades since I was old enough to carry a 2x4 stud, or carrying a plant to one of my family members, or learning what the various wrench's and sockets my father had in his tool boxes were used for.\nI could be found at work after school and on weekends and then on school holidays.Several different members of my family have(had) their own companies or were management which allowed me to start learning the do's and don't s of the various trades that I have learned. Through all these tasks over the years I have gained experience. My resume is available upon request for anyone that would like to see along with references.\nI started my first company in 1999, (and do to the geographical location I did not offer as many services as I do now. Besides, I would not have had time to do the work.)\nWhen I found out that my employer was taken advantage of several older women because they had never had to pay for these type of services to be done,he had charged an older woman almost three times of what it should have been. He had told me that she didn't know what the rates should be.The woman was my best friends grandmother. That following Monday I opened my landscaping and lawn care service.\n Please don't misunderstand me, i believe if a person gives an honest days labor they are entitled to a fair days pay, salary or other payment that had been predetermined.\n I take pride in my ability to find ways to save my clients as much money as possible.I do most of that by not giving up because of the level of difficulty of the tasks at hand.\nI do a lot of things the old fashion way, with axes, shovels, pick axes, and within reason removing stumps, transplanting trees and other various large plants. All these things are done by hand.

FAQs for concrete delivery projects in Dalton, GA

The amount of concrete you need varies by project. One 80lb bag covers an area of about 2 square feet, for a slab 4 inches thick. Two 60lb bags of concrete cover an area of about 2 square feet for a slab that is 6 inches thick.

A truckload of concrete can usually hold a maximum of 10 cubic yards.

The cost of concrete per cubic yard depends on which brand you purchase, but usually costs about $110 for bags.

It takes about 41 bags of concrete to fill a cubic yard. Always plan to buy a few bags more than the exact required amount in case of mistakes.

To calculate the amount of concrete you need for a slab, you should find the cubic yardage of the area you will be filling. Just follow these steps:

  1. Measure the area in feet.

  2. Multiply length by width, and then by thickness.

  3. Divide the resulting number by 27 to find cubic yards.
