"Marine Pool Renovations did an amazing job resurfacing and refreshing our in-ground pool and attached hot tub. From the preparation, to the application of plaster and opening up the pool (filling with water and ensuring the filtration system was working) for the upcoming season. The crew working on our pool were friendly and skilled. The job finished exactly as expected. Richard is a pleasure to work with and really listens and responds to all questions and keeps you up to date with progress and next steps. We highly recommend this great pro and will be sending any of our friends that need help with a pool over to Richard and Marine Pool Renovations!"

"It went very well. He arrived promptly within the time frame given, which was between noon and 2 PM. He was very knowledgeable and told us what to do to avoid costly lamp repairs in the future. Instead of just fixing the broken switch on our floor lamp, he suggested that a dimmer be installed to avoid problems in the future. We asked him to install a dimmer on a matching floor lamp to avoid having identical problems with its switches; and he cheerfully did this for us. He also told us the maximum wattage to use on each lamp, which was extremely helpful. He charged us $65 to repair each table lamp, $95 to fix and install a dimmer on one floor lamp, and $75 to install a dimmer on a matching floor lamp. I thought the prices were reasonable; especially considering the fact that we did not have to lug the lamps in a cab and pick them up at a future date. He arrived at our apartment, worked quickly and cleanly, and left. It was a great experience all around!"

"Excellent! Reasonable estimate, arrived on time, very good quality repairs. Provider also looked at a drainage problem and gave some pointers on how to address. Will definitely use Local Dad Repairs again. <br />"

"Veronica came to our house with samples and helped us choose the best options for our needs and budget. She knew we wanted to stay within a certain budget and held true to both the budget as well as our other requests (such as adding liner to the shades). After we had already chosen the blinds we wanted for the living room, she called to tell me the manufacturer was offering an upgrade that month for free and we were able to take advantage. She was very professional and personable and smiled happily while working in our very hot and non air-conditioned living room in the heat of the summer!"

"No issues at all! Rob was there on time and the work was completed within an hour, all neatly cleaned up and it looks great. We supplied the new fan and after doing a substantial workup, he explained that there might be a need to expand the opening and do some adjustments to the fixtures. That was okay by us but fortunately the fan fit without alot of effort. We have MANY more electrical needs and Rob will be our first call!"

FAQs for swimming pool remodeling projects in Danbury, CT

You can modernize your pool by adding features like underwater LED lighting, mosaic tiles, or a beach entry for easy access. Incorporating amenities like fire pits, waterfalls, or installing energy-efficient equipment can also give your pool a contemporary upgrade.

To make your pool more energy-efficient, consider resurfacing it with a lighter color to reduce heating needs and evaporation. Installing a variable-speed pump can significantly lower energy consumption. Switching to low-energy LED lights not only saves power but also enhances ambiance. Additionally, updating old plumbing pipes can improve efficiency and reduce water loss.

A pool remodel typically takes between four and eight weeks to complete. The exact duration depends on factors such as the size of your pool, the complexity of the renovations, and the availability of materials and contractors. Planning ahead and coordinating with a professional pool remodeler can help ensure your project stays on schedule.

Remodeling your pool can be a worthwhile investment, especially if you plan to sell your home. A pool remodel can increase your property's value and enhance its appeal to potential buyers. Upgrades like modern finishes, energy-efficient systems, and added features like lighting or fountains can transform an outdated pool into a backyard oasis.

Resurfacing a pool involves applying a new finish to the existing surface to address cosmetic issues and minor structural concerns. Replastering is a more extensive process that replaces a deeper layer of the pool's structural base, impacting both stability and appearance. After replastering, you can choose from various finishes to enhance the design and longevity of your pool.
