"Good sized backyard needed a fence makeover for dogs. He was able to use the existing posts which are still in good condition and property set in concrete. 4-day project to tear off the old fence and create the new one....which is much sturdier and better constructed than the old one. Gates are strong and sturdy too; I always wondered about the old ones when the central Illinois wind would pick up! I am pleased with how the new fence looks and with its construction. Worker replaced my mailbox post, too, which was damaged a while ago.
"

"Jeff did a great job and on one small problem that arose the next day , he was back at my house within an hour of my call and fixed within 15 minutes.
The only difficulty I had was getting hold of him. We played phone tag for more than a week but he was persistent and we finally we able to talk and set up a date for him to come to my house.
"

"Called Arteman's on a rainy day in November, he happened to be available so he came right over. The other company had left our house with no front entry door, because they just replace doors. Arteman was a hero that day! He replaced the rotten beam under the threshold. He also noted that the tiled entry way was incorrectly installed (previous owner's DIYproject) and he removed the tile as it was sitting on water damaged particle board and interfering with the repair of the threshold.
The company we bought our door from finished installing the door.
We called Arteman's again, because there was a gap between where the door had been installed and where the stoop steps were, leaving his repair exposed. He came over, within a day or two and filled the gap with a some type of sealer. The area is not leaking and with this crazy winter we're so grateful for his good work.
I do have a minor gripe though, we wanted him to install new tile for us since our landing now was just plywood since he had taken up the old tile. I went to the store he recommended to get tile, but none of the tile there appealed to me. I purchased tile at Lowes. When he saw the tile, he told us that he wouldn't be able to put it in for another three months. That seemed like a dodge to me. If he didn't want to put it in, I would have appreciated just a simple "no." But to be fair he had fit us into his schedule in an emergency and I'm grateful. Anyhow, I couldn't wait, because to paraphrase the Stark's, "Winter was Coming." I put it in myself, apparently our landing is homeowner DIY territory.
All in all Arteman's was great to work with. Showed up when he said he would. Completed the job in a quick period of time. Charged appropriately.
"

"
Started later than planned. Seemed to be poor communication at the beginning but, just assumed it was start-up whoa's...

daily work was typically 9 - 2:30 or 3. very rare an 8 hour day was put in unless I

had pushed for completion of a step so that another contractor could come in (flooring). Quoted 1 1/2 months, took all of 3 months. Framing was quick and done well. everything after that was at a crawl. bathroom put a big wrench in the process. the drywall and ceiling (wallboard) were put in by a crew everywhere but the bathroom. the bathroom finishing was done by Pand M. it's obvious at a glance the difference in workmanship. the crew did much better.

since completion of the job, we've had to replace/repair all the closet doors, repair ceiling vents, re-caulk the shower, all tv cable that was run has been repaired/replaced. one of the hallway doors only opens halfway.

overall, basic construction with construction seems to be all I would recommend unfortunately. started out very promising.

"

"Chuck and his guys have done 2 fences for my family in Bloomington/Normal in the last 3 years (we moved). They are timely, efficient, and are priced right. Both fences have been great quality, and have stood the test of time. They stuck with their promised timeline, and delivered a finished, perfect fence within 2 days each time. I can’t recommend them more! Hopefully we’re finished moving and won’t need more fencing anytime soon, but if we did I would call Ifft Quality Fencing every time!"

"Cornerstone Builders and Developers were initial recommended by Reading Plumbing to do the specialized work in the bathroom. It was necessary to remove the shelf brace to allow the plumber to get to the underside of the faucet. The shelf brace was an integral part of the front of the vanity. So the work had to be done carefully so that when put back it would look like the other shelf braces in the vanity. They did a good job and even painted it so you can not even tell it had been removed.
While having that work done, I had them put up some additional kitchen crown moulding which had not been done when the house was built. It was for a couple of small areas. The work was complicated by trying to get it to match up completely with the already installed pieces. The carpenter did a great quality job and spent extra time to make sure it was done right. He also painted the pieces to assure they match all the rest of the cabinets and moulding.
"
