"Chase from Excel Renovation was great to work with regarding our residential garage roof leak. He was very personable and there was excellent/ professional communication in talking through the potential issue and then scheduling a time to meet. Chase ended up starting with a simpler repair approach first, re-fastening and re-sealing a roof flashing, which we agreed was the right thing to do for our type of roof leak (very small leak) and for this cold time of year (late Nov). He was very honest in what he thought was the likely issue and digging deeper right away in our case, instead of just resealing and testing first, may cause more harm than good. He would not take any money for the repair…I tried though. :-) He said to keep an eye on it during the upcoming rain and snow melt(s) and he could always dig deeper if needed in the spring, removing interior sheetrock and then applying water with a hose over suspected area on the roof. If you’re looking for an honest company that won’t steer you wrong, give these guys a call. I highly recommend this company and I would definitely work with them again!"

His is a family business -- his son will be the third generation. I recommend Harry highly and would certainly hire him again. Edit: I have called on Harry for cedar shake roof repairs twice within the span of a few weeks, because after the first repair, we had a storm that caused additional damage. And the storm hit just before the closing of the sale of my house. Harry came out promptly and told me it is too bad all the damage did not happen at once so that he could have fixed it all in one go and save me money. His team proceeded to make the repairs, which took a few hours, and at end of the day handed me an invoice that was reasonable and did not take advantage of the time constraint I faced to get the roof repaired. He also provided documentation I needed to get reimbursed from my insurer. He and his team are simply professional. You will be in good hands if you entrust your roof with him."

"Tom had done minor gutter work for us before, so I called him back for this project.  He arrived when promised to provide an estimate, and we agreed that day to have his company do our project.  There was a slight delay in getting to our project due adverse weather affecting projects scheduled ahead of ours, and I had to call him for an updated start date.  We agreed on when he could provide the updated start date; he then called back as promised to set that date.
   His crew showed up on time, and completed the work in a very satisfactory manner.  They clearly know what they're doing.

"J&B Roofing was very responsive and professional when I contacted them about making some minor repairs to my roof in Saint Paul. We had some loose and folded over shingles that needed to be repaired ASAP for a sale. They did a great job on the repair for a great price! Somehow, they were even able to use the existing shingles on the roof. You can't even tell there was ever a problem up there. We will definitely contact them again for roofing repairs."

"Roofing was fine, but when I called because of a leak 3 months after the warentee period, I was told the rate per roofer was $185 for the first hour and $98 per hour after that. No flexibility or willingness to work with me at all. The leak was not new just newly discovered. Does not matter. Legally they may be right but this attitude is not what customer service I want to have in my life. They will not get additional work from me."

The contract clearly outline payment schedules and roofing material used (brand, type, and colors). They worked with our insurance company and pointed out things the insurance inspector did not take into consideration. Pro Custom Builders filed for the permits and are licensed and insured. They have the right tools and safety equipment. The roofers were experienced. We are very satisfied with the work. Even though, they did a good job cleaning up afterwards. The next day, a different person came out to check the yard, again, looking for nails. It is great to have a perfectly done roof."
