"Horrible experience! Unless you are looking for paving that will start to crack a come apart within a year. During paving they damaged our gate and knocked down part of our retaining wall, and then tried to hide it. They did deduct the cost for repairs to the gate and wall they damaged from my bill, but now the owner is of the opinion it was a discount and he bears no responsibility for the crumbling mess they made of my asphalt. After completing the job they spent the next few months heating and trying to rework the asphalt in an attempt to remove the ponds and allow our driveway to drain, looks like crap, but it kind of drains now. So we've spent the last 2 year's trying to get them to address the Defective asphalt, I was recently told that the owner of API could care less about our issues and Asphalt Protectors is unwilling to stand behind their work. I should commend the sales staff though, I really feel they have tried to get the the owner to do the right thing. Now I guess we may have to start looking for quality contractor to replace our paving. What a Nightmare this is"

FAQs for asphalt paving repair or patch projects in Dayton, NV

With routine maintenance, a new residential asphalt driveway can last 15 to 20 years. In regions with heavy rain or freeze-thaw cycles, plan on extra maintenance to hit the upper end of that range. Concrete surfaces last even longer, from 20 to 25 years. Regular sealing and quick crack repairs go a long way toward preserving both materials.

You can pour new concrete over an existing driveway as long as the base slab is solid. Pros often place a three- to four-inch overlay to create a strong bond. If the old concrete is cracked or spalling badly, it’s wiser to remove it and start fresh to ensure durability.

Keep the surface in top shape by sealing it on schedule and tackling damage right away. Roll on a quality seal coat every three years for asphalt, and reseal concrete as needed while patching any flaws you spot. Staying ahead of small issues prevents bigger, pricier repairs and keeps your driveway looking sharp.
