"Brandon and Cruz completed a number of small projects, including caulking a leaky roof vent and two leaky windows, installing a door threshold, repairing a ceiling drywall crack, and replacing an exterior wood handrail. All done with attention to detail and excellent results! They are professional, friendly, and diligent. I recommend these two and look forward to working with them again."

"Repair went smoother than I expected and was less costly than expected. I did get a quote for refinishing the door as well and it was a very good price. Ended up not doing that because we are selling the house, but would have if we were staying."

"After getting almost 3 feet of water from Harvey our garage door openers needed help. One wouldn’t open at all and needed new sensors while the other just quit working from our cars??? Perry’s serviceman was here first thing in the morning and went above and beyond to fix all of our problems. He even went out and bought a universal remote and reprogrammed both of our cars to both garage doors. Would definitely recommend them!!"

"I called GDKS and the repairman came directly to my house. He completed the repair quickly and efficiently. He was very professional and took care to avoid my new vehicle which had been "trapped" in garage due to the failed spring. He also replaced the old door rollers and lubricated both the door repaired and a second door. I was very impressed with the manner in which he completed the work."

"Scheduling an appointment: I called on a Friday night at 7:30pm, thinking of leaving a voicemail to be called back as early as possible. To my surprise, somebody replied immediately and scheduled an appointment for the next day. Punctuality/Friendliness: Worker showed up on time (within 4 hour time bracket), after calling 20 min advance, very friendly and polite, great. Work quality/Professionalism, Part 1: Main problem (broken spring) was quickly identified, fair quote for replacement. I mentioned a couple of things I had noticed as a side effect of the spring breaking (door slightly bent, unhook cables...), was told this would not be a problem. He clearly knew what he was doing, no hesitation and very efficient in replacing the parts and putting back everything together. Towards the end, he showed a little frustration in things not being installed properly by the previous contractor (8 years prior). Everything great until here, and I expect for most customers needing this kind of work, the experience would just be great. Work/Professionalism part 2: After installing everything back together and trying the opener one time, the door started grinding for a few seconds and not moving as expected. At this point, after spending 2-3 minutes looking around, I was told that the original installation was incorrect; that as a result the garage door opener gear was stripped (could tell from noise), and that it was not worth throwing money at it to repair the current setup, that instead I would need a brand new installation (>$500), and that it could not be done until sometime next week, that he had another job to go to afterwards; so our interaction was done for the day. After he left, I grabbed a wrench, tightened up a couple of nuts, readjusted the limits on the garage door opener, opened/closed the door 50+ times and this works better than it ever has, took me 2-3 minutes at most. Overall, I have mixed feelings about this. The job that was done was done very well; and I understand that someone would not want to put his name on an installation that doesn't meet their standards, as my follow up fix may work for a limited time only, who knows. But I would have preferred to be told that, rather than the conclusion that the entire installation had to be replaced with no hope of it working again. As bad as my setup is, it had worked with no issue for 8 years, and the problem of the day was caused by a regular maintenance item (broken spring), not the installation itself. So I would have preferred for him not to give up after 2 min of troubleshooting and presenting the upsell at the only option. Also I would have MUCH prefer if all those installation issues (that apparently looked pretty obvious), would have been mentioned before starting the initial repair, as at the end of the day I was given a confident diagnostic with a $250 repair quote, and $250 later was left with an inoperative door that would cost me an extra $500+ to repair. Overall, I would use their service again."

"Pros: same day appointment (for a fee) and polite repairman Cons: COST - they are outrageous ($96 an hour labor and the equipment is grossly overpriced...same thermostat at Lowes is $47 but they charged me $144!!!), do not wear booties and tracked water, dirt and grass all over my house, cheated time (in my opinion...was charged to the minute he walked out the door but he spent the last 25 minutes in his truck writing the invoice and "cooling off") Overall I would never use them again or refer them to anyone but they got the job done

Updated: I was contacted by the manager, Mark, who addressed all my concerns posted here. He has offered me a reimbursement for the cleaning and labor charges that I thought were excessive. I am very pleased that he took the time to address with me so quickly and feel that gesture has warranted an update on this review and I would consider using them again."
