"<p>After my terrible experience with George's Painting, I had called Mike Rafferty and some other painters. Mike had called and had set up a date for an estimate. The other painters either were booked up or just didn't want to do the job because my house was built around 1926.  Mike came out and went over what I needed to have completed but he even gave me quotes, if I didn't want to have everything completed at one time, so after going over the plan and the price, I was sold. The bonus was that Mike could start the job in two weeks, the day after labor day. Mike and his crew came by just as expected and had completed the job the same day, which I was amazed but more important the work was Awesome, this was no small job folks, but Mike completed it and also did a couple of  favors for me as well, so needless to say his customer service far exceeded what I had expected. He does have one retouch to do but to be honest it may take him about 15 minutes and that is all. My wife and I are very excited about the job, Mike and his crew completed and again I must reiterate the price was fair, the job again was Awesome, plus the clean up after the project had been completed was the icing on the cake. Thank You Mike Rafferty for a job well done and I will use your services again in the future.</p> <br />"

"<p>El came and gave us an estimate.  We negotiated on the siding price.  He and his crew arrived on schedule, power washed the building, sanded the roof rust spots, washed the spots, and then painted.  At the same time as painting the second coat on the roof, his crew put two layers of stain on the siding.   The crew was always on schedule, given the weather, and were always professional.</p> <p>Absolutely hire El's for all your painting needs.  We had tried for many years to find someone to paint he metal roof and couldn't find anyone in the local area.  El came when he said he would and finished the job on time.  El's may be a bit more expensive, but you get what you pay for, in this case, a quality job.</p> <p><br /> </p> <p><br /> </p>"

"responsive to initial query, no pressure sales guy, just a quote, Install crew was polite and worked hard to complete the job in a single day. Cleaned up the area and when I had a question they responded the next day and corrected the small issue that had been over looked. Gutters and covers seem to work as advertised, I plan to hire them again for some additional work I need done on the exterior of the house, All in all a very good experience."

"I phoned J.R. Tubbs at around 6:30am after I discovered that I had no water and the temperature outside was well below freezing. He told me to turn off the water pump and water heater at the breaker box and said I would be first on his schedule and he arrived on time and went right to work determining the extent of the damage. The water pump was frozen and the pipes. He got the pipes unfrozen and re-primed the pump, made sure the pressure was good and sprayed foam insulation where it needed additional sealing on the pump house. He was here about 2 1/2 hours and there was no permanent damage to the pump or my pipes. He came and got right to work and I cannot say enough good things about J.R. and the work that he does. He has done other work for me and I will call him again in the future. <br />"

"I was not sure who to use since I was not a full time resident in Ocean City. I went to the Sherwin Williams store on 127th street in Ocean City and they gave me the names of 3 painters in the area that they would recommended for the job. I called all three and got estimates from all of them. <br /> After meeting all three contractors and receiving the estimates I was most impressed with not only the estimate, but the professional knowledge Roger Bonvino had. <br /> Roger was very personable and seems very professional. After meeting he sent me a very detailed estimate the following day with a complete breakdown of the job and what each step would cost. I knew exactly what I was getting and we were able to make changes at that time if needed. He was also very knowledgable about how the best way would be to paint those ceilings and also the kitchen cabinets. <br /> I left him a key and I came back to Ocean City one day before the job was completed. (It was a 6 day job) The entire week we stayed in contact and he kept me updated with how things were progressing. (I really appreciated that!) When I walked into the condo I could not believe my eyes! It was absolutely beautiful! He patched the many areas that were mess, he repaired and painted the ceilings, walls, trim, doors and the ugly cabinets looked gorgeous! Everything was cleaned up and looked amazing! My neighbors stopped over and commented that the place looked brand new! They really did a great job! <br /> I am an interior decorator and I work with contractors all the time and I know when I meet a good one. I highly recommend Roger Bonvino and his crew! <br />"

"Renzo and his team do outstanding work at reasonable prices! SOMAT have completed several projects in our house and we have been very satisfied with each one. The SOMAT team is very professional and take great care in protecting furniture and cleaning up the debris The latest project involved drywall repair, painting, installation of a vinyl tiles, and toilet installation. They took a great deal of time to prepare the walls before painting and the results are outstanding. And the tile floor looks great … sorry we did not upgrade the bathroom sooner. In summary, SOMAT is a company that can be trusted to handle most renovation projects. We will continue to use SOMAT for years to come."

FAQs for exterior home or structure paint or stain projects in Deal-island, MD

Painting vinyl siding is a budget-friendly way to revive curb appeal without paying for new panels. As long as the boards aren’t warped, cracked, or leaking, a coat of high-quality acrylic paint can buy you another five to 10 years before replacement.

Stick to lighter shades so the siding doesn’t soak up excess heat, and prep the surface well for the paint to bond. If you’re seeing rot or moisture damage, skip the paint and plan for new siding instead.

High-quality acrylic paint is recommended for vinyl siding. Acrylic paint adheres firmly to vinyl surfaces and resists peeling and fading, providing a sleek and long-lasting finish. Ensure the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepared for optimal results. Your exterior painting pro has the expertise to properly prepare your siding’s surface to ensure proper adhesion.

Priming is not required if the vinyl siding remains in good condition and is properly cleaned. However, if the original color is severely faded or the panels have become porous, priming becomes essential. Priming provides a smooth, even base that improves paint adhesion and enhances durability, ensuring the acrylic finish adheres properly and lasts longer.

A paint sprayer is the quickest, most consistent way to coat vinyl siding. The fine mist reaches grooves a roller can miss and lays down an even layer in a fraction of the time. You’ll still need a brush for tight corners, but a sprayer slashes labor hours and reduces lap marks.

If you’re renting equipment, ask the supplier for a tip size made for exterior acrylics so the paint atomizes correctly and sticks to the siding.

Painted vinyl siding lasts between five and 10 years. The durability depends on the quality of the surface preparation and the local climate conditions. When the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepped, and high-quality acrylic paint is used, the finish endures longer. In hotter regions, the lifespan may be closer to five years, while cooler climates help extend it.
