"I use Sunrise Painting several times a year for both my clients I refer them to and for my own properties. He gets my quotes completed quickly and more importantly he gets the projects completed promptly. I also appreciate the owner, Halil, follows up each completion with his own final touch ups and cleanup. I think he and his firm are the best."

"I had one estimate from another company, where the guy showed up impeccably clean, very young and gave me an estimate for $3200 to fix a leak in the roof by reinstalling the existing flashing and re-doing the roof on the shed. Then Tyler Hershey came out, clearly he came from another job was very dirty and I immediately trusted him because I knew… This guy works on roofs himself, not merely an estimator. His original estimate was $1400 for everything, but once they opened up my roof of course the problems got worse when you can see what’s going on… The job took eight hours when I think he probably estimated three or four. He did tell me he needed to charge me $200 more dollars for the time spent but I actually thought that was low so I gave him an extra 200. if you want an honest roofer, call Tyler Hershey! He is honest and reasonable. When it’s time for a whole new roof, he is who I will call."

"The entire process from returning my original call requesting a quote, to providing a written quote for services went very smoothly and promtly. The company representative showed up when scheduled, was professional and polite and asked questions to make sure he knew exactly what I wanted. Once I selected them for the job, everything moved just as smoothly. I was given instructions on what to pack or remove from the rooms (breakables, china, glassware or other valuables) They placed my job on their schedule within 3 weeks. This was far better that either of the other two painting contractors I got quotes from. I was fortunate that they then moved my job up due their inability to work outside on another job. Everything was of course ok with my schedule. I paid them a deposit of 1/3 down and the work began two days later.
The painters showed up on time everyday and worked steadily throughout the day. Their hours were 8am to 4:30pm. I had the same people show up each day. They were clear on the scope of the work and asked only pertainent questions. They completed my job in 5 days as promised and the quality of the work is the best. They repaired all nicks in the walls, plugged nail holes in the new trim that had been installed and repaired one significant crack over a door. I cannot see anything they missed and the quality of the work is excellent.
The workers were very polite and considerate of me when I was in the home as they worked, though I have to say I was not at home that much. I asked at the original estimate meeting if they were insured and bonded and was told yes. That being said, they did not damage any of my belongings and they cleaned up my home to a reasonable level before they left each day. There was no damage to my hardwood floors or anything else.
I am very happy with the quality of the work and felt the price was reasonable for the scope of the work. My home has never looked better."

FAQs for exterior home or structure paint or stain projects in Delmar, MD

Painting vinyl siding is a budget-friendly way to revive curb appeal without paying for new panels. As long as the boards aren’t warped, cracked, or leaking, a coat of high-quality acrylic paint can buy you another five to 10 years before replacement.

Stick to lighter shades so the siding doesn’t soak up excess heat, and prep the surface well for the paint to bond. If you’re seeing rot or moisture damage, skip the paint and plan for new siding instead.

High-quality acrylic paint is recommended for vinyl siding. Acrylic paint adheres firmly to vinyl surfaces and resists peeling and fading, providing a sleek and long-lasting finish. Ensure the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepared for optimal results. Your exterior painting pro has the expertise to properly prepare your siding’s surface to ensure proper adhesion.

Priming is not required if the vinyl siding remains in good condition and is properly cleaned. However, if the original color is severely faded or the panels have become porous, priming becomes essential. Priming provides a smooth, even base that improves paint adhesion and enhances durability, ensuring the acrylic finish adheres properly and lasts longer.

A paint sprayer is the quickest, most consistent way to coat vinyl siding. The fine mist reaches grooves a roller can miss and lays down an even layer in a fraction of the time. You’ll still need a brush for tight corners, but a sprayer slashes labor hours and reduces lap marks.

If you’re renting equipment, ask the supplier for a tip size made for exterior acrylics so the paint atomizes correctly and sticks to the siding.

Painted vinyl siding lasts between five and 10 years. The durability depends on the quality of the surface preparation and the local climate conditions. When the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepped, and high-quality acrylic paint is used, the finish endures longer. In hotter regions, the lifespan may be closer to five years, while cooler climates help extend it.
