"<p>The service providers were on time and very professional, and the unit itself appears to be of good quality. However, the following issues were identified after the job was complete, which led to my luke-warm opinion. </p> <p>a) The top of the shelter unit has several instances of dents and noticeable scratches which were painted over at an attempt to conceal the damage. After the paint dried, the damage was still noticeable. </p> <p>b) Damage to concrete edges in the garage was made as a part of digging the hole. No repair was attempted. </p> <p>c) Damage to concrete areas on the driveway was made as a part of driving the tractor to perform the digging. </p> <p>d) Concrete/water solution spills remained on the driveway area and many liters spilled on the yard (about 3ft by 3 ft). </p> <p>Am I pleased that we have a storm shelter in case of a tornado, but the issues above are not appropriate. At a minimum, I would encourage anyone using Ground Zero to inspect the shelter thoroughly, inquire of the service providers how to prevent damage, and not complete payment until any damages are repaired. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /></p>"

"The two roofing technicians told me what they were going to do to repair my roof and set about doing their repairs without delay. <br /> The main supervising technician also climbed up on my house roof and walked all over it to inspect it and see if there might be any other repairs necessary. Then, the technicians removed the faulty flashing which had been improperly installed by my home builder's untrained framer. Shingles which had holes in them were removed and several new asphalt shingles were installed to replace the old singles which had nail holes in them.  Next, the old flashing was completely removed and new, higher grade metal flashing was installed to replace the old flashing. Finally, new sealant was applied to make sure that the repaired roof was completely water proof.   <br /> After the repair work  was done, the supervising roof technician showed me exactly what had been done with photos that he had taken with his tablet camera. He said if any more leakage occurred, they would return to take care of it, but he believed that the leak was effectively repaired. The very next day, we had another hard rain storm in the La Grange, TX, Fayette County area, and my repaired roof no longer leaked into the sheet rock ceiling or into the window frames of my breakfast room bay window. I'm very satisfied with the work done by Vincent's Roofing.   <br /> I wish I had called them sooner rather than waiting for the roofer who put the original roof on my house two and a half years ago. <br /> That roofer refused to back up his own work, and his delay had made the damage from the roof leak even worse. "<p>The laundry room had been a porch many years ago; it was closed in to make a laundry room probably 25-30 yrs ago.  Also, a half wall of brick had been added on the outside.  The only way to repair it was either tear it off and start over or repair from the inside.  The choice was made to repair from the inside which required creative solutions.  This was not a job for a DIY weekend.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>The other part of the job was replacing windows in the living room.  We chose glass brick windows that are much smaller and will allow us to install base cabinets with book shelves above.  It also hides a view that is not very nice.  As the windows were not the same dimensions as the old windows, it required construction of a wall, drywall, and siding on the outside.</p> <br />"

"All went good.  The workers told me that I had tree limbs rubbing the roof, which I was unaware of.  They volunteered to cut the ones that could be reached while they were on the roof.  Then when the roof repair was finished, they also picked up all the limbs and branches and took them to the road for the trash people to pickup.  I was really pleased with  the service, they went beyond the contract agreement. <br /> <br /> The roofing company that had put on my new shingles in Feb 2010 gave me a bid for over $700.  They had also repaired and put new lead jacks around vents.  But they didnt put something over it that would keep the squirrels from eating the lead again. <br /> <br /> So this was the third time since Nov 2008 that the squirrels had caused my roof to leak.   <br /> <br /> All Purpose Roofing fixed my problem and hopefully prevented it from happening again.All Purpose Roofing (Mr Charles McFarland, Jr) did the job for less than half of the bid from the other company."
