"I would say that Tone was very professional, easy to work with, and helpful in thinking about what we wanted to do in the kitchen. He gave us some ideas about options. In the end we did not go with him because the cost of the project came back much more than we wanted to spend.  Since then, we got some other bids and decided to follow up on those.  What I found troubling, and I don't know if this is an Angie's List problem or the contractor's problem - is that we got the exact same discussion, basic drawings, and bidding from several companies free of charge, i.e. no consultation fee.  I am not sure why Angie's List supports these fees with deals when many other contractors - virtually all that we've worked with since - provide this as a free service.  Live and learn.
