After roof was done I had it inspected for peace of mind (since I'm not a roofer) by tom at alert inspection in hudsonville, MI. Tom is an experienced roofer 20+ yrs. He told me he could tell they didn't skimp on materials and after telling him what we paid to have our roof done, he said he would of thought we paid more."

"We have an addition on a Ranch house that used a rubber membrane in the valleys of connecting roof lines. We had interior wall damage due to leaking. My story is about what happened when things went wrong. The night after the repair was done, it rained. We had a new leak in a new area....the kitchen. Needless to say I was very distraught. I called Great Lakes at 1147 am on a SUNDAY. They had a team back at my house in under 2 hours. We are at least 1 hour away from them. So that was impressive. While the team was on my roof the project manager came out as well. It was determined that the leak was from a skylight that was above the area we had contracted to repair. No questions, no dinking around. They got supplies and fixed it anyway! Since repairs we are nice and dry. I can not say how wonderful this company performs. I chose them off Angies list because of tbere rating. If you have ever been dissapointed in a repair or builders in the past like I have been, you can trust this company. That is not something I say lightly. This company will do it right the first time, and if something unforeseable happens, they will take care of you like family."

"The project went great. The crew showed up on time and completed the entire project in one day. The crew worked very well together and each member worked really hard but seamed to enjoy themselves. The project didn't have any snags or surprises. The crew left with the area looking like they were never there. Great job and highly recommended."

"Met Art for an estimate on May 27 and low and behold they were calling me to do the job on Jun 1 (really due to a stroke of luck that they were down the block doing another job). However, the job had to be delayed until June 2 due to the weather. But Art's crew did come by on the 1st to do some prelim work. Materials were also delivered the day before for efficiency. <br>The crew promptly showed up on June 2 to do the job (which also included the removal and replacement of gutter guards and heat tape). <br>Art's guys know their stuff. They were there at 615 am and the job was done by 3 pm. This included the teardown, shingle replacement, chimney flashing and the gutter guards/heat tape. With the exception of their lunch break, they were non-stop. <br>During the process, the area looked like a storm hit, but by the time the clean-up was done, you'd never know they were ever there. <br>Art is extremely knowledgeable and explained the whole process beforehand and noted all of the idiosyncrasies specific to the design and age of our house. Art also performs a post-job inspection just to ensure that everything was done properly and to make sure you have any questions answered. <br>The job was done well and the house looks great! <br>If you are located in Holland / Saugatuck area and need roof repair, definitely give Art a call"

He got us the bid for the new roof, stopped over to go over the details and explain the process, and then obtained for us a bid for new gutters and downspouts. He coordinated his work with that of our asbestos roof removal contractor and the gutter subcontractor. Patrick's employees are non-nonsense skilled workers. They completed the roof installation in two days without interruption. Cleaned up beautifully - no nails or other debris left in the lawn or elsewhere on the property. Patrick cares a lot about doing the job well and is very attentive. He knows his business. As I mentioned earlier, we had to get a specially-licensed contractor to remove our asbestos roof shingles, and Patrick was available to help us understand those bids.
