"After we made our final decision of the fencing details, Terry waited patiently while we took our variance request to the city counsel for their approval. We needed the fencing to be 42 inches tall to keep in our larger dog and we needed an additional post in the lower half of the fence to keep in the smaller dog. It took about 12 weeks from payment of the first check to the delivery of the fencing. That was the hardest wait for us because we had thought about this for years. Having finally made the decision, we wanted the fence immediately! The crew was awesome. They came every day for five days and put up 700 feet and five gates of the most beautiful fence we had ever seen. It is an ornamental fence and Terry suggested that we get it in bronze instead of black. The color is actually more of a gray and it looks perfect with our house. We have received so many compliments from our neighbors and people just driving by. It looks like it was always meant to be here. We love it, our dogs love it. "Mark Thomas from Crimson Valley and explained to us what could be done with the areas in detail. He listened to what we needed and was very helpful when we had any questions. The crew that did the work was great and took care of the area around the front stairs to prevent damage. When they took the steps and stoop apart, they noticed the box sill was rotting away. Mark called me and explained that it needed repairing before the work could be completed. I inspected the problem and agreed it needed repair. I asked Mark if he knew of anyone to do the repair and he said he did. He had Doug Newby of Rockford Home Repair come out to give a price to repair. I gave the ok for the repair and Doug finished the repairs right away so as not to impede the stair work. I was very impressed by the workmanship on the stairs. They did the work better than when the stairs were first done and they also extended the steps so they were not as narrow. As far as the landscaping in the back, my wife is extremely happy because she now has three more areas that she can plant in. She is a very avid planter. Overall, we are very happy we called Crimson Valley and we will not hesitate to call them again anytime we need anything done. Mark was very honest with us and kept us informed every step of the way. I cannot say enough about Mark and the crew that did the work. Also let me mention Doug of Rockford Home Repair. I was impressed by his work and I would definitely call him with any repairs in the future. <br />"

"Hardwood floor has three places where installer did not get nails set and caused splinters in the next board--so now three boards have to be cut out and face nailed in--all three in high traffic areas. they also left a scratch in a board in the front entry and miscut a board by the cabinets. I'm now having to make a piece of moulding to cover their mistake. Face nailed all end boards instead of drilling edges and hand nailing (guess they were too close to the wall for their nailer). And they used an air nailer and didn't even bother to puttey the holes. Painters made a mess-they put the new floor down first then painted so we have paint splatters all over the new floor, they didn't bother to cover some of the cabinets so they had Sheetrock mud and dust from a small repair all over them. And they rolled the wall above the chair rail without covering the chair rail so it was totally paint splattered. the new hardwood floor in the dinig room had something all,over it near the walls, we're guessing they tried to wipe their paint spills up with a dirty rag and just smeared it. The wife had to get on her hands and knees to clean it. its been one and a half weeks sine the foreman was shown the floor issues (oh yea-they cracked two of the hardwood thresholds going into bedrooms when they nailed it down but just left them) and still no one has shown up to repair or told us what they were going to do. So far the only part of this project that has gone well was the counter top install and that was by a third party. <br />"
