"Al and his team were wonderful! Al gave me a start date and a completion date. Provided me with a price quote right away, in fact I received it while he was still at my house! The entire crew, Bernie, Brandon and Jay were super professional and always made sure to clean up each night before they left. They all were wonderful working around our furniture and our 2 large dogs and 3 cats! I can not say enough about the quality of work. Al skim coated over old beboard, making it look like sheetrock! We also smoothed out a rough wall downstairs. Jay completed our upstairs bathroom, entryway and laundryroom, building a closet to enclose our heat system, and a decorative wall to hide pipes, and installed a new vinyl floor! Noah came in did the final touch ups and offered some advise on the painting of stair risers. They came out so amazing! I get compliments all the time. My husband and I had had 2 previous terrible experiences with contractors, but Al and his crew restored my faith in contractors! I can not say enough about all of them. I am so grateful for this painless experience! Personally, I feel like a 5 star rating is an insult, Al and his team deserve a 10 in my book! We will be having them back again to do phase 2 of our project! You can not go wrong with Big Al's Painting!"

"Steve contacted us Wednesday and Came over Friday @8am as promised to paint the walls in our kitchen which hadn't been painted since our house was built. He bought the paint and was ready to go. He didn't have to tape; he was that good. He had to put three coats on as the walls were that old and never been painted. He did a great job and would highly recommend him. I will not do any painting without him."

"The initial communication was very good, once the deposit was made communication slowed. We hired them for a kitchen cabinet repainting. Overall the painting is nice and we are happy with it. Ben the painter was a nice guy and very responsive, unfortunately he did not put things back they way he took them apart and we had to rearrange cabinet drawers ourselves. They also never used the cabinet door screws to reassemble the drawers. They only used the pull screws to reassemble them, 2 of 9 drawers had the drawer screws reinstalled. Also found a spot that wasn?t painted, looks like they went around a fixture that certainly could have been removed or at the very least they could?ve used a smaller brush to complete. It?s all in the details and in this job that wasn?t necessarily cheap, the details lacked for sure."

"????? If I could give zero stars, I would Hiring this contractor was a nightmare from start to finish. The bathroom they delivered is so poorly done that I feel like I need to redo it entirely. They rely on subpar subcontractors with no professionalism or craftsmanship. ? Overpromise and underdeliver: I had to stay on top of every detail myself, doing the job the contractor was hired to manage. ? Unreliable: Never kept appointments or confirmed schedules. The only time they showed up on time was to collect payment. ? Unsafe practices: At one point, a subcontractor was cutting concrete inside the bathroom with a gas?powered tool, filling my entire home with smoke. I had to intervene to stop it and argue just to get basic protections like tarps in place. ? Poor management: Subcontractors openly complained about not being paid, and I even had to send one home myself because of unacceptable behavior. ? End result: Substandard work that does not reflect the money spent. Save yourself "

"Kitchen remodel 2024 4/15/2024- 5/21/2024 From our very first meeting, during the design process and through the construction to completion, every person we came into contact with from Benchmark and various subcontractors were professional, polite, knowledgeable and friendly. Lee guided us step by step during the entire process of picking our cabinets, counters, flooring and the design of a custom cat area to accommodate a pet drinking fountain. Ian and his crew did an outstanding job installing the cabinets and the finish work. Any concerns we had were addressed timely and to our satisfaction. All subcontractors (floor, electric, plumbing, and counter tops) were excellent. Any concerns were addressed fully. When Lee and Ian say they want customers 100% satisfied, they mean it and it happens. Thank you Benchmark for our beautiful kitchen!"
