"My husband and I bought an abandoned house (call it the secret garden ) on two acres three years ago that had hundreds unmaintained, fancy invasive plants and trees that were strangling and eating the house and each other. Since we moved in, three other landscaping companies from home advisor had checked it out but none sent a quote (I was told the job was too big, or that they didn t do removal-to call them back if you re considering adding plants or a patio .) Chris sent us a quote the same day he checked out the job and we hired him on the spot. He and his crew were so professional and they did an amazing job with tree and shrub and vine removal; they also topped off our driveway with fresh gravel and removed 5 years of leaves and detritus from around the house. It means so much to us- we can go outside and just enjoy our yard. We can see our house when we turn into the driveway! They did in two days what would have taken us 5 years or more. I didn t tell them this but I was feeling so discouraged based on those interactions with the other companies and I haven t had the same energy since I had some health issues a few years ago. It really meant so much to us that they did what they said they would and even went above and beyond, clearing dead stuff we didn t even know was there (couldn t see it under the live stuff). We will definitely hire them for our next project and would recommend that you do too!"

"Our goal was to built a custom boulder wall to match our existing custom wall and have a custom firepit sit on the wall surrounded by a slate sitting area. We originally contacted Rotten Rock from signage that was placed in front of another job that we would admire on our drive. From the moment we connected with Rotten Rock owners Todd and Henry we were confident they were the right people for our challenging job. They started by taking us to a similar site to show us a recent job that was close to our plan. Needless to stay the job was amazing and gave us the additional level of confidence to make the commitment to move forward. Our job was very challenging and was completed in about 3-4 weeks and during those 3-4 weeks we were not at the house to manage any aspect of their work. Once the job was completed we drove up for the weekend to take a look. My wife and I were blown away. It actually looked like an extension of our yard/hardscaping that was always there. The boulder wall, the firepit, the tree removal, the slate and the new sod looked awesome together. Henry even said he picked out the matching boulders to match the existing walls. We get compliments on the work every week we are at the property and constantly get asked who did the work. "I have used Micum's team for two different tree removal jobs on our residential property.  Each time his crew did a great job.  Very informative, punctual, and courteous.  They were careful to minimize damage to the property, and cleaned up very well.    I was also very impressed by their safety techniques and modern equipment.  This is very well-run local company <br />"

"The initial meeting with the owner went well; he got back to us promptly with a price quote, and we agreed to it.  We paid 1/3 of the cost right away.  They started a week or so later than we planned, and the job went on for a couple of weeks, due to equipment repairs and other jobs.  But they did the work that was specified and moved some logs at our request; my husband said the workers were very nice, and they did a good job.  I held back $100 of the final payment for some additional pruning of two shrubs, which the project manager promised he would do the next week.  He didn't come back, so I contacted him and he apologized and said he would do it.  But the following week, I pruned the shrubs myself. <br />"

I understand weather concerns and emergency issues. <br /> I had to call twice to ask when they were coming. And then, when they did come I did not get a phone call alerting me to the date and time. <br /> The services were performed exactly as quoted, and they did a nice job cleaning up. I was not happy with the stump that was left and contracted for a grinder.
