"This was residential however I could not find residential kitchen remodel on your list. I contacted the company several years ago when these things started to occur the laminate peeling away from the cabinets the cracks in the laminate starting to curl. I was told when somebody will get back with you. We don?t do that anymore. However, $15,000 should?ve covered something on a lifetime warranty. They did the job twice initially because they did such a bad job with the first install installation. Very clearly, I?ve gotten no response from the company they act like they don?t know who I am. And they?ve done that since the second installation. "

"I WOULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS IF POSSIBLE CONSUMERS BEWARE! Chose this company through our insurance to fix a water problem. From the beginning Dillon communicated (12/26) that he would be able to complete our repairs in 2/3 days max, by the end of the week he pressured us for the deductible to get us on the schedule. We promptly paid. Being that we had pipes exposed in the cold and wanting to avoid further damage we needed help as quick as possible. Fast forward to our scheduled day. I stay home from work. No one shows 2 hours into the apt Dillion says his contractor who is a SUBcontractor and does not even work for design is too busy to help us. This is against nationwides policy. After pestering them for two weeks they came out and did a poor job putting dry wall and insulation up, they went through 4/5 pieces bc they could not make it fit and made the project last 8 hours. The job isn’t complete and now they say they can’t mud in the cold. Houses get built in the winter, every contractor I’ve told including our adjuster has scoffed at how dumb this excuse is. Dillon has proceeded to ghost our every call since their botch repair dry wall job. This is completely a fraudulent experience from start to finish they promise time frames and do not show up and send 3rd party contractors against policy. They took my money and went completely MIA. Btw Dillon your read receipts are on. I can see when you’re ignoring us. I have formally filed a report with my insurance and they will also independently file a report for fraudulent practices. Very disappointed at how we were treated and given very low priority in a high stress situation. They will be refunding my deductible sans the crap dry wall and insulation that my four year old could have put up. Should also be noted our auditor and adjuster came out after hearing our complaints and notified Dillon who said he would meet at the job site. No surprise here he no called no showed. I am in shock at the way someone can avoid a paying customer that they at the very minimum owe honest and clear communication to. I am glad I went through insurance against his recommendations not to because I would have lost my money outright. This entire ordeal wasted 50 days of my life"

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Dover, OH

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
