"Hoosier drain is a great company with very reasonable prices! We lost our pressure due to an old pump, and when it couldn’t be replaced they worked fast to get our new well drilled. Hoosier drain even provided us with a temporary fix by dropping a new pump on our old pump until they were able to get drillers out with no extra charge. We were given estimates day 1 and had no surprises at all on the cost. Dave and his team (Matt, Baylon, Damon and more), were very educated and made sure to explain everything clearly so we understood each step and could make educated decisions on how to proceed. They used a third party for drilling, yet still helped fill the holes the drilling truck made- again without even being asked. They also brought out tools to the drilling company to trim the trees so that we could get the new well drilled asap. Super thankful we utilized this company and would recommend them again and again! Dave personally was made available anytime as well. 10/10"

"The original trenching and sump pump work (2014) was scheduled for 4-5 days. Due to weather, it was 3 long days. Everything works fine. Twice I had water in the basement and called Danny Manley out to check. He came right away. Both times their work proved to be working fine and we discovered other issues that I then got fixed. The additional trenching (2018) was in the only place not done originally and is working fine through many long and heavy rainstorms. It was a lot of money, but we are very pleased and have peace of mind."

"I called Shannon to get a quote to replace my crawlspace vents which had been sealed up by a previous homeowner. He came out and gave me an estimate the next day. He explained everything very well and also looked at my crawlspace and made recommendations on what I could do to keep it dry down there. He ordered my vents and kept me updated on the status and when they came in he let me know and we scheduled the install day. He said he would be here at 8am to put them in and he literally pulled into the driveway at 8am on the dot. Install went as smoothly, vents look and function great. House is currently under contract and I plan on recommending him to the new buyers for any waterproofing needs that they may have or want as part of the transaction. Would definitely hire again in the future."

"Finally decided to pull the plug and replace our +20yr old Bryant furnace that died a few days ago. Don (Comfort Air Sales) met with me on a Sunday and checked all of the boxes, with installation being at the top of my list. With my furnace not working the installation crew was here prior to 9am this morning! I can’t say enough good things about the installation as Joe, Thomas, and Jorge got it right (this from “Mr. OCD” who had a lot of questions about location of new PVC vent lines being installed). Never a good day when you have to replace your furnace and A/C units, but the A+ service from a Williams Comfort Air today was definitely worth sharing. Thank you!"

"I had decent communication with Mike Brenneman, the company president, through the bid process, though I did not receive the bid when I asked the first time, and had to ask a second time. I chose Radon Environmental based on their Angie's List rating and my phone conversation with Mike Brenneman. <br /> On the day of the installation the technician, Chris, called me in the morning to say he was running late due to a fitness class an that he would arrive 20 minutes after the scheduled time.  I had people waiting on me at work to finish my part of a job before they could start, so I wasn't too happy with the late arrival, even though it was 20 minutes.  That translates into a fair bit of money when all the people waiting are in the high-end technology sector. <br /> Chris seemed knowledgeable, gave good answers to my questions, and did a good job with the radon system installation overall. <br /> I didn't like the finish work on the electrical - he removed an outlet receptacle to hard-wire the system, and left the receptacle on top of the wall box and an open hole in the plate cover, which was just a small annoyance. <br /> The major issue was damage to my sump system.  When I came home after work, I noticed that my sump pump was continuously running.  I looked through the nifty observation port, and saw that the connection from the pump outlet to the PVC outlet pipe had been broken, and the water was just spraying right back into the pit instead of being pumped out. <br /> I called Mike Brenneman and left a message complaining about the tardiness of the tech and the damage to the sump. When he called back, instead of apologizing Mike first tried to convince me it is normal for water to spray back into the pit through the weep-hole. I know the difference between the leak from a 1/8" hole and a broken connection dumping all the water back into the sump pit. <br /> When I told him that the PVC pipe coming out of the sump pit lid had been cut and a new rubber coupling installed, Mike insisted multiple times that their technicians are not plumbers, and that Chris would not have done anything like that. Having worked on the sump system just before the radon system installation, I knew very well that there was no coupling before the radon work.  The only thing I had asked Chris to do when installing the sump lid was to make sure that the sump pumps (primary and backup) were properly supported on the bricks in the bottom of the pit, as I knew he was going to have to move the pumps to do the work.  <br /> No matter what I said, Mike kept insisting that they arenot responsible for any kind of maintenance of the sump pump, even when I questioned whether they are responsible to repair damage caused by the technician during installation. <br /> Eventually Mike told me that if I hired a plumber, and the plumber verified that the damaged was caused by Mike's technician, then Mike would pay for half of the repair. I told him that no plumber would come in after the fact, look at the damaged system, and state that he was certain the damage was done by the Radon Environmental technician. <br /> At the end, Mike still denied responsibility, but finally offered to pay for half of the plumber's repair bill if I were to hire a plumber.  He apologized for Chris' tardiness and the time I lost from work.  He also stated that they would send someone out to reseal the sump pit lid for free once the repairs are done. <br /> In conclusion, I am almost completely happy with the radon system installation and Chris' professionalism in that arena.  I am thoroughly upset and dissatisfied with the damage dome to my sump pump system and especially Mike Brenneman's refusal to take any responsibility for it.  Since I am now tied to his company for service throughout the life of my radon system, I can only hope the customer service will improve. <br />"

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Dublin, IN

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
