"Excellent. The price was very fair. The guys were detailed, professional and punctual. The job was done in less than a week. They cleaned up every day they were done working and when you are busting up concrete it is a messy job. I felt comfortable leaving them in my home to do the work when I was not there. I would call them again if the need ever arises."

"I had them install an egress window mid-July. I was pretty happy with the window. Late August we had the major rains and the window held up great. Unfortunately, the dirt they back filled sunk 1.5 feet down around the entire perimeter 2-3 feet out. This was not a complaint for me, it happens with back fill. What was a problem was that I sent dozens of texts and phone calls to empty promises to bring me more dirt for almost 2 months. Then suddenly they tell me they won't bring the dirt since they considered this "landscaping" which was not included in the contract, without even coming to see the extent of the issue. This was a backfill problem, NOT landscaping. They FINALLY conceded to bring dirt, but complained they'd have to rent equipment to get to the backyard. At this point I just said put it in my driveway and I'd move it. So, this past Saturday, I (at almost 50 years old) spent 5 hours moving a huge pile of dirt instead of the people with young men and machinery that I paid $6,000 to do the work. On top of that, they dumped the dirt across the entire front of my garage instead of to the side (2 car driveway), trapping my car in the garage until I finished moving the dirt. So, either they were being massive jerks about it, or just incredibly stupid."

"We couldn't be happier! Alliance performed work on our home in early March, the week before we moved in - there were known foundation cracks, and the inspection also revealed a small amount of mold. From the first phone call, to the initial eval and quote, to the completion of work - everything was timely and professional. We elected to have them gut the small lower level (of our tri-level home), and are thankful we did - rotten floorboards and an additional crack were discovered. We were called and consulted prior to them doing some additional work that was required. The cracks were repaired, the containment process was excellent, and the work area was completely cleared of debris and was left tidy when they were finished. Then, all we had to do was wait for some torrential rain to see if the repairs worked! It is now June, and we've had 2 days of heavy rain - the type of rain that previously caused there to be water all over the lower level (this home was known to us for several years prior to purchase from a family member). I'm so thrilled to report that although our side yard is a lake (which normally meant that so was the basement), our basement is completely dry! Not a drop. We are so happy that we feel safe finishing the lower level now, and have some wonderful additional living and storage space. The cost for repair was 100% worth it. Thank you so much for everything!"

"Bob The Builder has been a blessing for us. His technical proficiency in going from 'total gut' to 'wow remodel' has been amazing. In addition to having years of experience remodeling, he has two MAJOR qualities that are refreshing: excellent communications (written and verbal), and 'outside-the' box problem solving. Bob was very attentive in check listing my lengthy 'to do' projects list, and has a wonderful sense of humor in applying his MacGyver skill sets for some of the challenges he encountered in this condo remodel. I point out that these projects were expected to have additional costs as issues were encountered (like complete replacement of bathroom flooring underlayment, and expense of trash disposal), were budgeted accordingly, and every time Bob was able to handle them while being mindful of economics. I was grateful that at certain points in these stages of remodeling, Bob diplomatically came up with suggestions (like installing flat floor registers instead of bulky space-taking triangular registers) and helped stimulate my thoughts and budget for alternative approaches. I felt Bob valued me when he would also call me to inquire as to my timetables and how that would fit in with other clients he was taking on--gee, do you know how many contractors I've dealt with over the years that promise one thing, get my money, and seem to disappear for long periods of time without a word?! Bob is also a hero to me as he picked up an electrical issue that I am now more economically taking care of by installing gas lines and a gas range. Bob is well worth his professional fees, and is a rare contractor who provided detailed invoices. He thrives on being a one-man get-it-done with pride, quality and definitely integrity. Thanks to Bob for projects well done!"

"Expert House Movers brought a crew of 6-8 & came in late August 2013 to start the process of raising & moving the house. My husband had done all the prep work of disconnecting the utilities & removing the furnace, etc. They dug access ramps to the old foundation/basement with bobcats. They poked good sized holes around the foundation so they could put in steel beams and jack up the house. Our foundation was from 1917 & built from old creek gravel cement, so it was pretty tough. It took three & half days to jack the house & move it over the driveway. It seemed really fast to me. The only thing to fall in the house was a picture off the piano. We still had access to the house through a tall ladder to get clothes, etc. that we needed. <br /> We took over the process of arranging excavation, concrete pouring, and carpenters with more local contractors. Expert does have concrete people & others they use in the St Louis area that know exactly the requirements needed for the new foundation. <br /> After the basement was poured & cured (curing takes about 3-4 weeks), Expert returned in October 2013 to move & set the house. They had been in contact with the concrete man for specifications, but there were no slots for the beams when setting the house down. A concrete worker had to come & cut those slots. We had a carpenter on hand to finish the sill installment & make sure the sills for the permanent beams was correct & set the support posts in the basement. We also had a friend's tractor help Expert's bobcat pull the house back over the foundation. While all this was going on, Expert was jacking and moving supports & placing slider beams & raising & lowering the house. The process was complete in about 2 1/2 days with care & precision. Some of the cracks in our house even disappeared. Great job guys. <br /> Our carpenters returned to build a staircase & some other requirements. We are working on re-connecting utilities & returning the furnace, water heater, etc. to the new basement. We plan to move back into the house in the first week or so in November 2013. It's been a long process, but well worth it. Made possible by Expert House Movers! <br />"

"We had a total of four estimates for the work that was needed to waterproof one side of our basement. Noah's Ark gave the lowest of the four bids. We asked for references, which were excellent. Communication throughout the process of setting up the estimate, booking the job, and getting answers to our questions was excellent and friendly. The crew was on-time and worked efficiently and thoroughly all the way through to clean-up. The job was nicely done and we are pleased. We highly recommend Noah's Ark Waterproofing. <br />"
