"August 25, 2019 Guardian Roofing Systems LLC Very accommodating, professional, great customer service, they kept us updated on the progress through completion. FLAT / LOW SLOPE ROOF SYSTEM TEAR OFF AND REPLACEMENT I represent an owner occupied 3 story condo association/ building. After learning that we needed to replace our roof as soon as possible, we immediately sought estimates and/or proposals for the job. At the last minute, I decided that a fourth estimate through Home Advisor couldnâ t hurt. I knew that Home Advisor would have already conducted the initial vetting process which would save us time in choosing a roofing contractor. After providing the preliminary information on the Home Advisor website, I was contacted by a representative from Guardian Roofing Systems who came out to our building and conducted an assessment. An estimate was provided the same day for a Flat/Low Slope Roof System Tear Off and Replacement. The representative informed me that we needed a lot of work done but could only give a preliminary estimate because tear off was needed to reveal the true extent of damage. Also, the project manager for Guardian stated the project would only take two days (unbelievable, the other 3 roofing proposals indicated the job would take 5-6 days to complete). Guardian presented us with two proposals, we choose the one we could afford. On Wednesday, August 21, 219 our roof replacement project began, equipment was dropped off the day before. The Guardian work crew arrived very early, ready to work each day. The crew started immediately around 7:30AM and worked until after 7:00PM, until tear off was completed. The first day was devoted to tearing off the old roof that had multiple layers, and the second day involved new roof stellation, chimney repairs, and clean-up. The project was completed Thursday evening at about 6:00 PM, August 22, 2019. A couple of unit owners on the top floors of our building were initially concerned about the impact to their unit during the project. Their concerns were addressed immediately, and they were informed that there would be little to not impact to their units, and there was not. The project was completed on time (Guardian had 15 roofers/workmen dedicated to the job, not including the project manager who was on site both days to address any questions or concerns). Pics where shared throughout the process; in fact, we received 30 pics from start to finish that showed every step of the process, including live video of work being done. After completion, the crew cleaned up debris and bricks around and inside our building. No signs of construction could be detected. We were very pleased with the level of professionalism demonstrated by Guardian throughout the process. Con: We were concerned about the debris flying off the top of the building during the initial tear off phase of the project, that included a few loose bricks from the chimney. The workers were hurling debris into the dumpsters below. This was unsettling for residents at home during this process. We should have been told prior to work commencing, to stay clear of back entrances and exits during the tear off process. We were only told to refrain from using our rear parking lot to accommodate dumpsters. Otherwise, we highly recommend Guardian Roofing Systems for your roofing project. "Everything went very well. Heidi was incredibly responsive from the first call and throughout the process. Everyone, from the owner to every workman, was courteous and very professional. We did have weather issues (heat and storms) that understandably delayed the initial start date. When the new start date conflicted with our vacation, there was no hassle about our postponing the start date until we returned. This was a fairly big job and took the crew about a week to complete. Each day they started exactly when they told me they would be there and each evening, they made sure that everything was picked up and stowed neatly. When the job was done, the cleanup was thorough. I have yet to find a nail or other debris anywhere! The roof, soffit repairs, and new gutters look great. I highly recommend A&D and would definitely use them again without hesitation."

"We originally contacted Tom to rip out and pour a new concrete patio in our backyard late summer 2014.  We got an estimate and Tom told us that his schedule was filling up but he would do his best to get our patio done as long as Mother Nature cooperated. Well....she didn't!   We had a lot of rain last Fall so that delayed the concrete jobs in front of ours.  Tom explained this could happen and let's be honest....we cannot control the weather!  Tom told us that he also does remodeling work during the winter months.  We asked Tom to provide a quote for our basement.  We had a good idea of what we wanted and Tom had no problem understanding our "vision".  His proposal was good and we signed the contract.   Tom and Zack showed up the first day and started tearing out the basement.  They took it down to the studs and cinderblock walls.  When they removed the drop-in ceiling it was discovered that the electrical had to be redone as the prior owner or builder did not have it up to code.  Our new shower is ceramic and we went with a multi-function shower system.   The ceramic had to be cut around each of the 7 shower heads/handles/sprayers.  It was alot of work but we never heard a complaint.  Mid-job we added a tankless water heater for this bathroom.  Tom and Zack were able to run a new gas line and install with no issues.  Our previous bathroom did not have an exhaust fan so our  plan was to to add one.  Our thinking was "bigger the better".  The fan was delivered  and it was too big to install in the ceiling.   Tom jumped on the phone with the manufacturer to see if we could install the fan in the wall.  Luckily they were able to figure out a way to get it installed in the wall.   They also had to run a vent to the outside.  As the bathroom was coming together, I noticed that our old bathroom window looked bad.  I asked if it was too late to get a new one.   Tom said "no" and picked it up the next day.  The new bathroom fixtures and cabinets were added with ease (at least they made it seem easy!).  We added new interior doors including 4 pocket doors.  We added drywall to the laundry room, canned lighting, ceramic flooring throughout and new wood trim.  They even painted!   In the midst of our construction, our main water heater went out.  Tom and Zack stopped what they were working on and replaced that too!   They also added lighting to our garage and ran a separate line for an electrical outlet on the outside of our garage.   We will have them back next Winter to finish the other half of our basement. <br /> Tom and Zack are professional and EXTREMELY knowledgeable.  Every night they cleaned up the work area before they left.   Tom and Zack came in to our home as contractors but left as friends.   Needless to say, we would recommend them to our family members and friends.   <br /> We are on their schedule for our concrete patio project this Spring.   They will also be replacing some of the wood on our screened-in deck.   They will be replacing the screens as well.    I will do another review once this project is complete. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Like many in our subdivision, we were approaching 20 years on our roof and had suffered some wind and hail damage related to some heavy storms earlier in the year. After seeing others in the subdivision having work done on their homes, my wife and I decided to take the plunge and try our hand with getting it approved through insurance (knowing the unlikelihood of getting full coverage on an old roof, particularly with one of the big-name insurance companies). We were connected with Eugene from Estate Exteriors through high recommendations from another person in our subdivision. In particular, Eugene works as a licensed public adjuster and has insight towards what is typically looked at by insurance companies before the decision is made to approve funding for roof repair. From the beginning I was very impressed with Eugene's professionalism. He arrived promptly a few minutes after I texted him, and got up on the roof to do a quick assessment. I admired Eugene's frequent and clear communication; he never used language that was too "over my head" and made sure I had a good understanding of all steps involved in the process. We communicated regularly by text, email and phone and he walked me through every step of the way. He was present when the insurance company sent out their own adjuster to assess the damage and was able to communicate his own findings. After I eventually did get approval for full roof repair, he scheduled the roof repair and was in constant communication letting me know of any potential unforeseen damage that might need to be repaired. He was also successful in getting some of that extra damage covered by insurance after the repair. The work (which involved full roof replacement, replacement of sky lights, and gutters) was high quality - and I still admire the appearance of our roof, which I didn't think I could ever get excited about! Finally, when it came time for payment, Eugene was available in person to help me call the mortgage company to ensure that our insurance checks would be endorsed and processed correctly. He also offered additional 0% financing for some of the additional work that was not covered by insurance. Overall, I have never had such a positive customer experience with ANYONE, like the one I had with Estate Exteriors. Eugene is honest, humble, a great communicator and does high quality work. I was so relieved to have such a burdensome project be made about as easy as possible. I highly recommend this company and recommend without any reservations!"
