"We considered 5 different contractors for an extensive project finishing our basement.  Wantz was one of the top two contractors we considered.  Pricing was fair and his vision matched our vision.  The biggest decision point for us was that we would have to wait 45-60 days to start and that would have impacted our plans to be finished by the 2013 Holiday season.  Otherwise, there was a good chance that we would have chosen Wantz.  Instead, we went with Brothers Services and have been very happy with the results. <br />"

"Could not be more pleased with all aspects of this work, the technicians who performed it, and the ownership who responded quickly (as contrasted with several - 8!- other roofers in the region, who failed to follow through over more than a year's efforts on our part to hire someone). Everyone involved was courteous, efficient, and thorough. Even clean-up was perfect!"

"After reading reviews, DR Handy Services was my first choice. Del responded quickly to a Friday email request for service, scheduled for the following Tuesday. Had a few minor jobs: install a battery security doorbell, light bulbs in two locations that needed a ladder to reach (I can no longer reach comfortably), and repair 2 non-working light sockets (1 outside, 1 inside). JC and Wily were outstanding, very friendly, and professional. The cost was very reasonable. Will definitely call DR Handy Services for my next repairs. Thank you!!"

"<p>  </p> <p>  John showed up as usual on time and on schedule.</p> <p>We went over the fine details via email prior to the job start.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>John has done other jobs for me prior and that is exactly why I utilize his</p> <p>services. I know what to expect and I know the job will be done right.</p> <p>If you want an inexpensive price it would be best to look elsewhere. If your</p> <p>looking for someone you can hand your house keys over to and leave John in your home</p> <p>unattended, then he is your man.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>You will find the jobsite in the end most likely cleaner then before he came. He removed all debris</p> <p>and debris that were found prior that were not his doing.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>The job was done to a level that I expected and I tend to be a nit picker because I have seen</p> <p>many winners lately. In the end you get far more then you pay for. The deck was over-built as I requested</p> <p>and done to a far higher standard then the one before it. We talked over some design updates for which</p> <p>he carried out without extra charges near the completion. He hand picked the lumber and sanded out</p> <p>the Lumber Mill stamps without being asked to. That in itself was a big help.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>In the end, John is a guy you don't have to baby sit and unlike many before him he locks up the </p> <p>house and turns off everything and cleans up and its done right. His high level of workmanship and integrity</p> <p>is the same regardless if your home or not.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>   </p> <br />"

"It went very well. I was contacted right away to set up an appointment. the handyman showed up on time and began working right away. I made sure I had a list and identified the priority items. It turns out he is a locksmith by trade and was able to deal with some issues with the storm door handle and door knob that came up. Even though there were a few set backs, he was determined to finish each task and did whatever it took to do it. I actually ended up purchasing new locks for my front doors got a good deal on the process of the locks.. He worked hard for the full 8 hours and was able to get through several of the tasks."

FAQs for handyman service projects in Earleville, MD

Winterizing shields your home’s structure and key systems from snow, ice, and freezing temperatures. By sealing drafts and tuning up heaters, you cut energy waste, extend the life of appliances and windows, and avoid surprise repair bills. A small up-front investment keeps rooms cozy and protects the value of your biggest asset all winter long.

Yes, it’s important to prepare your sprinkler system for the winter. Blowing out the lines and insulating above-ground parts keeps valves and pipes from splitting when temperatures drop. A quick winterization visit costs far less than repairing burst components in spring, and it ensures your lawn--and your wallet--stay in good shape once the thaw hits.

A full home winterization plan goes beyond sealing windows and pipes. You might schedule a home energy audit, cover outdoor furniture, service the snowblower, swap smoke-detector batteries, add outlet gaskets, and hang storm doors. Each step beefs up your home’s protection, cuts drafts, and lowers the chance of costly cold-weather damage.
