The first guy I had look at it from Midwest basement quoted me a whopping $3200, granted that was for a composite well which are more expensive but still.... found A & H's pricing at $1100 much more reasonable. Metal wells at home improvement stores run $200-500 and after a couple hundred dollars for the ladder and cover and that pricing was probably pretty tough to beat. Dealt with Ivan, they came as scheduled got the work done in one day as planned, cleaned up well and offered to come back and fill dirt around the well if we had any sinkage problems as the dirt settled."

"Job turned out just okay. He had installed a new storm door a couple years ago, and we called again because he represents the company whose particular door we were interested in. He said he knew the door, but then ordered the wrong one. He came without some needed tools, and because he was not as familiar with the door as he had said, it took a bit longer to do the job than he had planned. He needed materials, like caulk, which I had to provide from some I had on hand, and did not mention items that seemed part of the job(like disposal of the old door)then wanted to charge for them."
