"I couldn’t be more satisfied with the work done by Robert Evans Jr. Contracting. The price was fair, the work was exceptional. The crew was obviously very experienced and was very meticulous about their work. The crew chief kept me informed of their progress, any issues they found and how they were addressed. They did an excellent job cleaning up the entire site before leaving. Within a couple of hours of my initial contact I had a date for a visit to review the project and provide an estimate. I received the estimate later that day by email and was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable quote and timing was only two weeks and that it would be a two day job. The crew arrived exactly two weeks later and at the end of the first day all of the original roof was stripped and 80% of the installation of the underlayment, shingles and trim was complete. They finished on day two, and after they finished the entire crew did a site walk around looking for anything they had missed. Paul from Lifetime Roofing got back to me very quickly and, after an inspection, recommended that the flashing be replaced in one area of the roof. I was impressed that Paul kept in constant email contact through the contracting and scheduling process, answering all my questions. The crew was professional and skilled and completed the work in one day and did a terrific job. "The overall experience with John and Tom Bean and their crews was a pleasure.  From the thorough proposal including full explanation of what would be included, the process and start date to the final clean-up, it was a totally professional job.  The initial proposal came in mid-high compared to 2 other bids; there was only a little negotiation but assurances that what would be delivered would be well worth the investment.  I feel it definitely was.  The "removal" crew was fast, efficient and all business.  The installing crew, lead by Darren was fantastic and took great pride in their work.  They were very personable, respectful of "staying out of the way" as much as possible, happy to answer any questions and cleaned up daily.  Working with the quirkiness of a 250 year old home, cedar shingles and a lot of copper flashing has to be a difficult job; the end result looks fantastic.  We live on a busy street and have received a ton of rave reviews from friends and even strangers walking down the sidewalk.  We wrestled with the added cost of keeping the traditional cedar versus architectural  shingles but we're very pleased with our decision and to have had John Bean Roofing as our service provider.  I highly recommend them.
