"A couple weeks after signing the contract, we got a phone call from the company asking for an additional $658. Apparently they made a mistake. A couple days later, they dropped the new increase to $488. We canceled. As a retired salesman, I have made my share of errors, but NEVER would I expect the customer to be punished for them. I suspect now that they really didn’t want a little $5000 job in the first place. To their credit, they promptly and courteously refunded our deposit. That being said, a measure of trust was violated. When a company tries to increase their signed agreement, alarm bells should sound from the consumer. I think this is a fairly good company that has somehow lost its way. I’ve told this story to several business associates, and the unanimous consensus is that this represents a poor business practice, raising suspicions. Others could not believe that Trost would do this, especially since no offer was made to honor the agreement. And that people who know this company quickly defend their honesty. But considering our experience, we cannot recommend them."

"Fantastic work! Was having difficulty getting any of the large fence companies to be able to look at my project- "too small for them". Many suggested next door, thumbtack, angi. So I put in my info at Angi and they suggested about 3-5 companies- Abbey Fence was the first. I called the company number and was answered by the owner J. Kellerman. We talked for about 20 minutes and I sent him info and pic of the work area. J scheduled me for a Friday visit and he called me the AM of to alert that they would be out early PM. He called again to alert me they were leaving their first site and were coming to mine. He showed up shortly and looked over the project- commented that it was small job so they'd be charging the minimum- he'd established this already on our first talk. He and staff worked the job- replaced a few items that had some bad rust on it. They finished the job in a few hours and even added some paint to spruce up the chain link. When done, the fence was in better shape then before it got taken down- very straight and hung well with clearance to move better. Would highly recommend this company and will plan on using them for any future major fence work. KUDOS ALL AROUND FOR THE WORK DONE, TIMELINESS, COMMUNICATION, AND COST."
