We paid a small upcharge for the kind of roof we wanted, but all the bells and whistles were included in the quote: chimney covers, intake and outlet vents. "L&L made several visit including Saturday and Sunday to evaluate the job and made several suggestions as to the best way to replace the roof without any damage to the interior of our house.They promised to pick a good day to do the job and complete the job in one day. They arrived at about 7:30 AM with a crew of about 10 workers and had the complete roof replaced and the yard completely cleaned up before 4:30 PM. This included new lead flashing for the chimney and replacing 2 sheets of plywood. In addition they guaranteed the workmanship of the roof for as long as we owned the house. We had no problems at all. <br />"

"In two days Sammy and his crew completed the work done in my basement. The basement floor was in such disarray with a crack that could develop into a sink hole. It also created cracks throughout the basement which was filled and repaired completely in a day in a half. The brand new stairs and outside door I am very pleased with. "First off, the guys that do the actuall roofing work, do a great job, impressive to watch, and real quality. So why 3 stars? Because Chris, owner and spokesperson for Rising Star, deserves 1 star. Chris is the stereotypical salesperson; tell the customer whatever they want to hear, to get their signature on the dotted line. This is especially important to note, if you&apos;re looking to hire Rising Star because of other reviews, and are planning on filing an insurance claim. He&apos;ll start by telling you that he&apos;ll handle everything, easy as pie. What this really means is, he&apos;ll guide you along the way, because the insurance company is only going to want to deal with the policy holder, so actually it&apos;s you that will be doing the handling. It&apos;s also important to note; because of his, "tell them whatever they want to hear" personality, every time you speak with him, will be like the first time. He won&apos;t remember what he said the time before, and will instantly go into telling you whatever he thinks you want to hear today. And what he thinks you always want to hear is, all is good, no matter what roadblock the insurance company has thrown in front of you, it&apos;ll all work out in the end. And what he really means by that is, no matter the outcome, in the end, Rising Star will make a profit! Would I recommend them? Depends. If you&apos;re filing an insurance claim, and are totally clueless about the process, yes, as long as you go in with your eyes fully open. Looking to hire for a straight roofing job, probably not. I&apos;m sure there are any number of companies out there that also do quality work, will do it for a better price, and won&apos;t tell you the sun is shining, when it&apos;s actually raining cats and dogs!"
