"The work went extremely well George Blanchard did the estimation and he was extremely knowledgeable, and extremely responsive. I have had many contractors who, perhaps due to being overwhelmed or being inconsistent, fail to respond, fail to call back - not George. He called when he said he would, arrived when he said he would. I wanted one or two changes in the proposal, they were completed and delivered overnight. He said he would have 6 men, and complete the work in one day. This is exactly what happened, on the day and hour I was told the work would start. The work has held up well, and I believe was very professionally completed. Also, they did a touch more than asked for. The work included relaying front brick steps. Rather than simply relay all of them, they replaced a number they felt were too damaged, with new. Yes, the cost of brick may not be huge, but still, whatever that cost is, there was no quibbling, no discussion. They had some from the chimney work on hand and to Bill MIles crew the work demanded that quantity of brick be replaced and they simply did."

"Excellent. Due to the size of the job, we obtained three quotes from contractors who received top recommendations on Angie's list. One contractor never showed up to give an estimate. The other contractor gave an estimate for the same work as L. Browe. The estimate that L. Browe gave was 50% higher than that given by their competitor. We chose L. Browe because we were <br /> convinced that L. Browe was better-suited to do the work.  <br /> We felt that the competing, lower-priced contractor had great experience in sealing and repairing driveways but that L. Browe had the level of expertise we needed to make certain that we would have no problems in the future. <br /> Our driveway is nearly a quarter of a mile in length on a very steep hill with significant groundwater issues. The work required removing the old pavement; re-grading part of the subsurface to prevent groundwater from causing the pavement to <br /> deteriorate; excavating the parking pad nar the garage; adding and compacting six to eight inches of stone; applying and rolling two inches of premium asphalt for the driveway and the parking pad; and milling the edges to assure proper shedding of water.  <br /> We had L. Browe do the work while we were away for vacation. They were already starting when we left for the airport at 7:00 A.M. When we returned a week later, the work was done perfectly and the clean-up was immaculate. <br /> We've waited nearly two years (two winters) before submitting this review. We wanted to make certain that no problems developed. <br /> There have been no problems. We are as pleased with the result as we were the day we returned home two years ago. <br /> It is never easy to decide to hire the more expensive contractor. "Bob and his crew were great. I installed my own forms and had the area excavated and ready to go. He gave me a quick quote and he and his crew brought the concrete from the tuck on the street to my backyard where the pad was being poured for our hot tub. It was about 150 feet from the front to the back, They showed up on time they stated and met the truck and did the work. They floated and finished the concrete for a reasonable quote I felt. The pad was 9x16 by 4" thick. I would recommend them"
