We are having some difficulty getting stains from the work off of our newly stained patio, however. and the owner was quite belligerent when my husband complained to him that we did not have any notice of the workers coming to the house. We had contracted the work months in advance and we completely understand that any exterior work has been in high demand this year, but we were not given more than 3 minutes of notice that the crew was coming to the house. When my husband expressed his frustration about this, John was angry and told my husband that his crew had already lost 1 1/2 hours of work (apparently they were unable to work on another project and decided they could fit ours in that day). But my husband, who works from home, was using his work time to deal w/ the crew who had to move all of our patio furniture. My husband is actually hard to get angry (he's lived w/ me for 25 yrs!). Then, I was angered when instead of calling himself to apologize he asked his female office staff to call me to apologize about the scheduling mix up. Which she did graciously. We understood the scheduling mix up when we heard what had happened w/ the previously scheduled job but my husband states that John was unprofessional. UPDATE AS OF 09/18/2020: John called me to personally and graciously apologize for the earlier communication with my husband. I want to emphasize that the work itself is quite good and I am pleased w/ the match made w/ the tuckpointing as the mortar on our facade is an odd pink color. Thank you for reaching out and apologizing."
