"I had a broken pipe under my house that was gushing water out into the ally behind my house. A neighbor noticed it and called the City. The City worker turned the main off and called me at work. I called After Hours. They were at my house before I could get there from work. The service repairman was GREAT! He had started on the pipe and had it fixed so fast that I had time to actually eat lunch before I had to return to work. Water is on and running smoothly!! <br /> Renee was the one who answered the phone. She was extremely professional and calm! Exactly what I needed. :-) <br />"

"Excellent. Eron worked us in to his busy schedule, arrived on time, worked efficiently, brought new hi-end heater ($450) and all necessary parts for installation ($26), worked safely and efficiently, draining old heater and removing and hauling it away ($25 disposal), installing and testing new heater--which works very well. He provided us with instructions about adjusting water temps and periodic care needs. Eron cleaned up and removed all debris and was in and out in record time ($90 labor)."

"I think it was $429. It was excellent! He did a very neat job. This guy had to come into the house and put a turn off valve in the wall in our guess bedroom. He put like a door on it, so if we ever need to get there again the door is there. He cleaned up the carpet and everything. So, it was great.   He is very professional and just a life saver. It took a couple hours, I think."

Jim's Plumbing

"Jim was fabulous, over the phone and in person.  He described my problem to me on the phone with the first call before I had a chance to explain.  Concrete floor, old cast iron pipe, etc. Clearly he is very well experienced (over 25 years) and took all the worry and fear away for me from that first call.  This is a vacation home and requires a three hour drive for me to meet him there so showing up, being on time and very knowledgeable was critical to me. As well as it is typical for vendors to double the price when they find out it' s a vacation area. Jim's price was fair from the start.  He charged me only an hour trip charge for a two hour trip.  The job did get slightly complicated, which I anticipated, but he still got the job done in short order. Jim had to build up the concrete around the new flange to raise the flange closer to being level with the floor.  I was very happy with the money I paid for the job that was performed. I would highly recommend Jim's Plumbing and I am very very  happy with the work that was performed.  <br />"

"Allied Plumbing (formerly O'neil Plumbing in Moses Lake area) is one of the best plumbing services my company has ever used. Allied was able to schedule a job on short notice, showed up on time, did a thorough job and charged a fair price. What else can you ask for from a plumbing company! Well, how about a follow up call from the owner/manager, Ron Smiley, insuring the job was done to satisfaction and then going on to explain a whole host of extraordinary plumbing services that I was not aware of. Like being to do lateral sewer connections, including trenchless sewer line repairs, anything to do with water pumps, and commercial plumbing services. Ron is a smart business man that understands the value of long term relationships."

"We had water on the floor in our downstairs bathroom.  It had spread to the carpet in the hallway.  They knew what the problem was and they knew exactly what to do to correct it.  In a short time it was fixed completely.  They are knowledgeable, efficient, thoughtful, prompt, honest and courteous.  Their rates are reasonable.  We have used them for other plumbing problems in the past and we continue to be so pleased and so satisfied with their work.  We call them 'Our Plumbers'.  We will ALWAYS call them when we have plumbing problems.  They are the BEST!!!!! <br /> <br /> <br />"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in East Wenatchee, WA

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
