Replacing front steps with Granite 2. re-pointing bricks on 4 corners of my home built in 1860 Unfortunately once the job started, we found out that the people who built the foundation used slate on top of the stone as a base and over the years the slate crumbled and the bricks in the corneers shifted thus becoming unstable. The solution, rebuild the base and reinforce the brick wall with reba. The job was done on time and for a fair price"

"After having been left in a bit of a mess by a previous contractor, we decided not to continue with it, we contacted Shamrock Chimney and explained the unfortunate situation we found ourselves in. Within three days, Corey and Frank had arrived to attack our problem. Corey was astounded at what he found; a torn liner, like one of those in a clothes dryer and dozens of bricks, some removed unnecessarily, scattered on the ground. He quoted us a price, not a lot less than our original contractor had, but we were in desperate straits and had no times to get additional estimates. He said there was a lot more work to do than we had expected and showed us why. He and Frank started work on Thursday and by Saturday noon had, miraculously to us, completed the whole repair and cleaned up the mess we had been left with. We now have two new stainless-steel liners and chimney caps and a rebuilt chimney. I rated the work quality as 5.0 but, having read reviews of other chimney repairs, hope the work will, last and have no reason to expect otherwise. As for 4.0 for value for the money: estimates of chimney repair charges are all over the place on the internet, so it is hard to judge. Corey told me he had taken our plight into consideration when setting a price. Based on our interaction, I have no reason to doubt him. In sum, we found ourselves in a totally chaotic situation on one Saturday, but by the next everything was back to normal or better even. Recently, the stove I picked had a recall and I was informed and updated by Scott as soon as he had news. This actually went on for a couple of months but Scott would contact me every couple of weeks and let me know what was going on. When the replacement part came in, they scheduled the work IMMEDIATELY and I met Jon, one of the senior techs and installers. Jon was on time, meticulous and thorough. Very clean and organized as you would expect a master craftsman to be. The repair went very well and made my stove run better than ever before. When your happy with a job someone does for you, you hardly ever write a review but something turns sour, people can't write one quick enough. When I need something done, I go online and read all the awful reviews of probably great companies so I do not hire them. "This contractor was great. He came to my house right away, gave a very fair estimate, and arrived to do the job on time. He did an excellent job of repairing brick steps. The mortar had been destroyed by all the salt I used during the winter. He rebuilt the steps, they look better than new, and cleaned up the jobsite when he was finished. I give American Stoneworks a 5 star rating and have already recommended this company to friends."

"Vista started this job 9/17. From the beginning we were told by the salesman Eric and project manager Keith that the job would be finished to our satisfaction, all our concerns would be addressed. The roofing went well, we are pleased. The siding was a bigger job than they seemed prepared for. They removed wood siding and replaced rotten plywood. The siding looked fine except for an area in the front of our home which is vertically uneven. Holding a straight edge to the siding we have a one inch gap in the vertical level which was not properly prepared. Some our window frames are horrible. One of them has nails driven right in the center of the frame, others have gapping joints and one is wavy. They replaced our perfectly fine topped gutter with a 'top of the line' gutter which isn't topped so is now full of leaves. We live in the woods what were they thinking? At the signing of this contract our salesman Eric said he would do some porch screen framing and stain our new front door. He wanted payment of $600 stating this was his side job. After many, many phone calls, most being ignored, we have gotten no where. Brian Rudd finally came out and told us these problems would be corrected. Last we heard from him was 11/17. He emailed that the siding crew would be out that week to correct window trim. We never heard from or saw any of them again. They never installed the stove vent, stained the front door or corrected our siding issues. I've waited for spring thinking I would hear from them. Too bad, things started out well. Not a good company."
