"Everything went really well. They are very creative and very good quality of work. They were the only landscaping company that listened and worked with my wife. They solved a lot of issues with us as far as draining and getting water away from the house. They finished all the landscaping and brought out all the plants to our property, that way they let my wife pick out what she wanted instead of her having to come to the nursery. They have really great customer service. On the fly I was able to ask for certain things I wanted and they were quick to accommodate. It takes a lot of coordination to pull off a job like ours. The foreman that day did a great job finished a large job in just one day. They utilized our current plants and landscaping. An outstanding feather with them is when they came to bid the work it only took them one day to draw up the plans with colored pictures of every angle of the home via email. I would definitely recommend them and work with them again. The price was very fair and accurate."

"<p>Great. I take their season long lawn fertilizing service since I moved 2 years ago. </p> <p>When I bought my house the lawn was full of weeds and bare spots. </p> <p>After just 2-3 visits my lawn is the best on the block. No weeds at all. Thick lush grass. Even where my dog used to leave dead spots.</p> <p>This service works great and well worth the 60$ a visit 4-5 times a year. </p> <p><br /></p> <br />"

"Everything turned out well. The designer with whom I dealt was very knowledgeable and informative, and I liked her recommendations. Furthermore, she finished the designs in a timely fashion, and the designs were free since I purchased plants from the company."

"Everything was done quickly and professionally. The team was friendly, prompt and competent. We live in an old cabin and have learned that repairs sometimes reveal more problems. If they ran into any snags, they managed to find solutions. They kept the work area clean and protected our furniture. Ron knew we were on a time schedule and had a tight budget, and he worked with us. <br /> Heritage Builders has an excellent reputation in the area for high standards and quality work. We'll use them again in the near future. <br />"

"Kevin was professional and did an excellent job. Our counter top was delayed by the company we ordered it from ( which meant no sink to use) and came in on a Friday. Kevin was working that day at another site, so he came in and worked all day Saturday so we did not have to go the weekend without a kitchen sink. <br /> Kevin did a beautiful job on the work performed. <br /> The cost was right on for work described in the original estimate. We had him do some extra jobs, fixing walls, building the soffits, and installing crown molding, so the cost was more than quoted , but only because we had him do more work. <br /> Yes we will hire him again! <br />"

FAQs for brick and stone patios, walks, and steps installation projects in Eau Claire, WI

When cleaning your flagstone patio, begin by gently hosing off loose dirt and debris. Use a mild solution of white vinegar and water or diluted dish soap to scrub the surface with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using abrasive tools, such as wire brushes, as they can damage the stone’s seal and finish. This careful approach effectively removes mold and grime while preserving the natural beauty of your patio.

Flagstone naturally offers a neutral palette that includes shades of grey, black, red, yellow, brown, and tan, and its inherent color cannot be altered. Choosing varieties like bluestone provides a subtle bluish tint that complements many exterior designs. These natural hues enhance curb appeal and create a refined, timeless look in your outdoor space, ensuring a sophisticated finish with minimal upkeep.

Flagstone for a patio must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 inches to reliably support furniture and foot traffic. Using stone that is two to three inches thick is recommended to ensure lasting durability. The increased thickness prevents cracking under load and enhances long-term performance. Investing in thicker flagstone provides superior stability and resistance to weather conditions, ensuring your outdoor space remains both safe and attractive.

You can paint a flagstone patio by using a high-quality, outdoor elastomeric latex paint designed for heavy foot traffic. Painting not only refreshes the patio’s appearance but also creates a waterproof barrier that protects the stone from damage. Regular reapplication every one to two years maintains its durability and visual appeal, ensuring your patio remains both stylish and well-protected.
