"I'm so angry I can't see straight. We signed the contract on April 11 2014. Still don't have a new fence, gate or posts. The problem is Bob. Instead of having a full time office person. Bob is the office, the estimator, the gopher. At his convenience he comes to give an estimate. At this point, your foolish enough to proceed. He gives you paper work to have neighbors sign since it's a replacement not a repair. You do that in a few minutes. Call Bob and tell him. Unless you run the paper work to the office it could be a few days before he'll pick it up. So like a dummy, you drive it over. Then you find out you need one more signature. You get it and run it over to the office. Then you find out there's a glitch with ownership of one of the homes. You call Bob and tell him that. You also tell him to tell the permit guy that the city taxes come in two names. Of course he doesn't. You make the call and leave a message for permit guy. He gets back to you and says he'll investigate. Then he calls again to say they can waive it and the permit will be approved. You call Bob and tell him this. But you get the call that the permit is ready. Why? Because, you filled the form out as you believed to be right. Turns out you not Star Fence is the applicant. Bob told me he'd fix it when he first saw the forms I of course delivered to him. Fast forward, it's now three weeks since the permit was ready. I was told last week when I called for a status check they'd be here tomorrow to remove the old and set the posts for the new. If I hadn't called to find out what time they start work, I guess I'd find out they aren't coming until the day was over and nobody came. At that, after the work that was supposed to happen tomorrow it was going to be the following Friday the sections would be installed. Bob keeps trying to sell me on a setting time for the cement. I challenge it saying if the set the posts on Friday. The installation of the sections should happen two days later on Monday not a week later. I have a furry kid. For a week, they expect me to regardless of weather or time of day take him out on a leash. A smart business would put up a temp fence until installation could be completed.
Unless the installation is a DaVinci work of art. This will be the worst business experience I've ever dealt with. I will be back to report when the job is finally completed.

I would use them again making allowances for time. I will also recommend them to people.
UPDATE: I've already posted a review but said I'd be back at completion. Although I have had some frustration and wasted time. I have to say that I'm completely satisfied with the installation. I'm 0lder with heart and lung disease. I have a dog. It's been a real hardship to leash him and go out with him no matter time of day or night and weather conditions for ten days. That being said. When they finally get to it, they do excellent work. With the warning of and quot;if your in a hurryand quot; you might want to choose someone else. But, since quality in my opinion, is most important. I'd use them again and would recommend them."

"Many companies wont bother with you or just dont show up for the appointment if you 'only' have a small job. This is not the case with Gary. He was very responsive and discussed our options for material in a clear manner. He then gave us a fair quote after answering all of my questions. He ordered the materialsand came to our home exactly when he said he would and did a very nice work. We would suggest him to a friend anytime. Great Job, very satisfied customers."

"Overall, 4.5 stars. There was a great deal of time between the contract signing (early May) and the actual installation (early August) which was likely due to external uncontrollable conditions. The communication with the office was fine, but I had to be proactive and call. Promised calls back didn't really happen, but the staff was friendly and able to answer almost all questions immediately. The install crew was two guys who were respectful and responsive when I had a question/concern. There is apparently some disconnect between the sales team and the install team as what was described to me during the sales pitch was not what actually occurred (mostly, the sales guy told me that they would use the same post holes as the old rotting fence. The install team explained why that was not a good idea.) The job took 1.5 days which was about what I expected. The leftover dirt from the new holes was spread out around the posts, which made some cleanup for us as the clay soil here will not just subside/fade easily and will kill grass if left on top, but the install crew were upfront about that, though the sales guy obviously didn't discuss that with me. I would hire this company again. They were not the most expensive estimate, but they were not the cheapest either. I'm pleased with the end product, the install crew clearly takes pride in their work."

"Great. Initially Mike, the son and one of the owners, came to our house and he was so sincere. He quoted us to demo the existing garage and floor/pad, pour a new footer/rat wall and floor/pad, and build the new garage. He called us the next day with the news that his Dad had just one a large concrete contract that would take all of their concrete resources for the rest of the season. We were disappointed but we did not give up. We asked Mike if we could hire another company to do the demo and pour the new pad, and they would build on it. Mike agreed and was very flexible and fantastic to work with. Our project was unique in that we wanted 9' ceilings, an 8' x 16' overhead door, fully insulated with finished drywall, and heated. While we would have loved for Italy American to have been the general contractor for the project, I quickly realized that responsibility had now fallen on me and Italy American was essentially my subcontractor for building and electrical. I completed the demo myself, filling a 30 yard dumpster to the gills. I sourced and hired a solid HVAC contractor to install the gas forced air furnace, and I dug the trench for them to run the gas line from our house to the new garage. The work product and communication from Mike and his team were excellent. They built the garage in a day or two, sided and roofed it in a day, had the electrical done in a day, and the insulation and drywall took about a week due to all of the inspections, mud, tape, and finishing. They started just before Thanksgiving and finished just before Christmas, but the bulk of the work was done in the first week or two. Mike was clear and concise, upfront and easy to understand when it came to pricing, and he was confident that they could deliver everything we were looking for. We were demanding clients and Italy American met or exceeded every one of our expectations. We would absolutely hire them again. We had a few things that needed to be fixed shortly after they finished (garage door leveled better, adding more nails to some aluminum flashing, and shortening one piece of siding), and Mike had someone out within a day or two. One of their subcontractors managed to break some fairly sizable tree limbs off of my wife's favorite tree and they paid for an arborist to come out and look at the tree and do the trimming for us. Italy American is a company with integrity that understands it's family history and values, and Mike is an invaluable asset for them."

"Awesome! In February Steven gave us an estimate on our kitchen. He listened to what we thought and gave his expert opinion along the way. In March he and his crew came and the work began on schedule. Two weeks later we were standing in our beautiful kitchen. The kitchen and the cabinets were painted in complimentary shades of blue. The counter top was replaced and the tile back splash was added with a new sink and plumbing. New flooring and electrical upgrades were also done. We are still delighted with the work done and without exception, everyone who has seen it says it's beautiful. We've been asked if the novelty of the remodel has worn off. The answer is no. Every morning we come into the kitchen and smile. The workmanship is top notch and exceeded our expectations. Working with Steven and his crew was a very pleasant experience. We'd recommend them to anyone needing a remodel! Sincerely, Howard & Nanette Dodds"

"So, how did it go? Well I've know Robert for about 7 months now and its been a pleasure working with him. He always picked up or returns my calls promptly (yes... im one of those people who call 6-7 times a day... sorry Rob). He is very honest and resonable man who is running and honest bussiness, he always gave me a thorough breakdown so I always know where my money is going (I've been ripped off in the past so yea...). Worksmanship wise he has someone for everything and they do what they do really well including himself. He's never walk away from a job and the job is not done until your satisfied. He has exceeded my expectations every single time. In terms of reliablity you can count on him and unlike other people Ive hired in the past I can just give him a list of things and carry on with my other work knowing that the job will be done and done right."
