This project was to drill holes in my brick to accommodate new carriage lighting on my garage. The excellent communication, masterful craftsmanship, professionalism, and kindness shown by Bob, Linda, and their crew are above other companies. Bob and Linda both contacted me immediately upon requesting a quote, kept me informed every step of the way, and accommodated my schedule. Bob and his crew were right on time, very professional and informative on what they did, incredibly efficient, and left their work area tidy. They went above and beyond and even installed and secured electrical boxes in the brick for my new lighting. "I had originally called as I had some storm damage and needed them to look at a couple shingles. When they came out, they assured me they didn't need to go up onto the roof at all and told me I had some nail pops and the obvious shingles that were missing. I was quoted for the work (just under $1000) and had to put $500 as a deposit. fast forward to the day they came out. Not only did they bring a shingle not even close but when the project manager was up on the roof told me that I had way more going on up on the roof and they highly recommend replacing the whole roof due to water damage and condition of shingles. At this point I did my due diligence and shopped around after getting the quote for a full roof replacement. I got quotes from 4 other companies who all came up quite a bit lower (material costs across the board were lower), and the icing on the cake was the fact that EVERY SINGLE ONE asked me the question why didn't the first company go up on the roof at first as they all agreed I needed to replace it. So, if Cochran would have just went on the roof in the first place I wouldn't have had to even put the original deposit in which they didn't even fix issues as it needed replaced and so I paid essentially $500 for them to caulk a couple place and not just go on the roof THE FIRST TIME and find the issue up front... I called to let them know I was going with another company who was a much lower quote for the exact same work, and they didn't even offer a refund (ethical thing to do since they didn't even go on roof at first) and even admitted that they should have just gone on the roof the first time when I asked them to! If you are looking for a quote from this company, all I have to say is just avoid or be careful."

"Really disappointed in the entire experience with grounds quality lawn. Starting with just initiating the job, it took nearly a month to get responses from them and get someone out to start work. I only stuck with it at that point because a family friend said they were good but should have gone with my gut and found another company at that point. The guys they sent were constantly taking breaks and at one point the foreman even grabbed my fishing pole and spent about 30 min fishing while the remaining four watched him. This wouldn't have bothered me as much if the rate I was paying was more reasonable but they were charging me about $600 per hour for the 5 guys so these breaks and fishing sessions were costing me a lot of money. I voiced my concern with the project manager who just made excuses and cared not at all about what was going on. I asked to speak to owner Justin grounds who did the same. Just excused the behavior and had no problem with it whatsoever. All the while no one could explain why the hourly rate was so high when the guys were working so inefficiently. They kept saying the hourly rate was $60 per hour per crew member but charging me double that with no explanation. Not sure if I was just unlucky or if the company is getting complacent and resting on their reputation but I was very unimpressed and I am generally very easy going with these things and rarely complain about having bad service from anyone."

"Aztez representative and workers were prompt and courteous. Overall the job turned out OK and looks nice. The James Hardie stucco sheets and trim were installed in a manner that is much better and should be more weather resistant than original stucco sheets. All trim pieces, including angle cuts, were cut by hand with a circular saw but look very good. Notes from the job that lead to my overall rating. 1) Aztec representative and workers communicated very well with me to discuss and decide on options for specific details to ensure the overall look and appearance was maintained. 2) Instead of removing the old siding, I was talked into installing the new sheets over the existing sheets. Because of this, I asked repeatedly to be informed of any damage or deterioration due to water intrusion (old siding had rotted in several locations) and to remove/repair any damage prior to installing the new sheets and trim. To my knowledge, this did not happen because I caught working covering up one location that needed repair. I was disappointed this was not brought to my attention. Were there other areas of damage that were covered up and not repaired? I'll never know. 3) Job was quoted with 2 coats of paint. Paint was sprayed and completed in 1 day. I asked how it was possible to apply 2 coats of paint in one day without letting the 1st coat dry. I was told, 2 passes with the sprayer was the equivalent of 2 coats of paint. I was not aware of this practice and not sure this really constitutes the equivalent of 2 coats of paint. While I noted that I would hire again, this would only be with closer oversight. The latter 2 issues left me with the opinion that the priority of the workers was to get the job done as quickly as possible with less emphasis on quality of work. While I have given a passing grade, there is opportunity for improvement."
