In business since 2002, Titan Sunrooms is the leading sunroom manufacturer in NW Florida. Our factory direct model cuts out the middleman and provides our clients with a vastly superior product at competitive pricing. Manufactured in Florida and built to handle the severe Florida weather, Titan gives our clients long term security by offering a 40 year warranty on our sunrooms, screen rooms, patio covers, pergolas, car ports and proprietary line of Blockhouse Sheds. "Unfortunately we do not offer Screen Repair or Repair services".

"BLUF: Miserable business practices and mediocre work Titan initially blew me away with their level of customer service. I had a rep come to my home, take numerous measurements and tell me all about how the structure would be built. I stated that I needed the sunroom completed by the end of April 2024 and they put in a clause that if it wasn't completed, the sunroom would cost my nothing. Titan even changed the contracts after I found a discrepancy with mine and I was more than happy to move forward. I signed the contract and waited. Then a second rep came out to retake all the measurements previously taken and I waited some more. And then crickets until I was told that the materials were being ordered (two and a half months after I paid the half up front deposit). Work finally started the last week of April ( just 7 days shy of the deadline) and I was initially happy with how it was going. I asked a bunch of questions, had to correct the builders on layout because it turns out the first Rep lied about how the structure would be built on several levels. During construction, the electrician's helper stepped through my kitchen ceiling which i don't blame Titan for but it seems they put their trust in lack luster contractors as well. Work was "completed" on the last day of April and the permit inspector called to let me know that he would be inspecting three days later. During the inspection, it was discovered that the electricians never pulled a permit to begin with and the sunroom builders never stopped construction to get the in process inspection completed which required a portion of the structure to be dismantled. A separate crew from the first dismantled and rebuilt the structure and did a miserable job sealing it which required the lead of the original crew to come back out and correct. Since this was WELL past the deadline, I made the joke with the crew lead that " hey , I guess I got a free sunroom now". Within three minutes, the GM called me asking what I meant. This conversation culminated in him raising his voice to me several times and threatening to file a lien immediately that Monday morning if I didn't release payment. My argument that work wasn't completed because the permit wasn't sign off and required that the structure be dismantled to complete said permit didn't matter. I never once raised my voice in return, or acted unprofessional in any manner to the GM. After the tile work began, I found out how out of square the walls are. 1/4" out over 16". Had I had any idea of what I'd experience, I would have chosen a different company in a heartbeat."

"On 11/16/2024, the initial meeting was for the contractor to give me an estimate on repairing rotten wood around the house for painting and an estimate on remodeling. As the contractor was leaving, I mentioned that it would be great to do this work in phases and get an estimate for the repairs and the remodel because I wanted to start the repairs as quickly as possible. He mentioned that he could get started the following week and gave me an estimate of about $2200 to repair the rotten wood on the house. When I asked did he include the boards next to the garage in his estimate, he indicated that that would be $1600 more. I felt like he was gouging me at the time, and when I received another estimate recently to compare, my gut feeling was correct. I explained to him that when replacing the rotten siding, because my house has siding with a bead row across, if they couldn't find siding precisely like the existing siding, do not proceed with replacing them. The contractor assured me that the siding would be the same. On Wednesday, November 20th, they came to do the job. When the guys were working to replace the siding, my husband indicated they were trying to fabricate something that looked like the siding. However, they decided not to proceed with that approach but to order the correct siding. We were told that the siding would arrive on Tuesday, November 26th and that they would do all the work at one time instead of completing part of it. The guys arrived on Wednesday, November 27th, to do the work. When I came from work to look at the job that was supposed to be completed, I was dumbfounded by what I saw. It was clear that rotten wood was still in place. They replaced a few pieces of siding but the other rotten wood is still there. On the right dormer on the left side, they replaced three pieces of siding and the top piece is shorter than the area it was supposed to cover; it leaves part of the area exposed. No siding was replaced on the right side of the right dormer. Additionally, no other rotten wood was replaced on the dormers besides pieces of siding. They didn't do anything on the back of the house, including the chimney, as agreed upon. This contractor was incredibly duplicitous in his dealings with me, and when I questioned him about the work that was left undone, he was insulting and raised his voice, saying there was no way he could do all of that work for that price. He lied and said that each of the boards was $50. He also continued by sharing that he was paying one of the guys close to $300 and another $200, and he couldn't make any money doing the job at the price. I had him on speakerphone so everyone could hear what he was saying. He had already quoted me $3800 to do this work. As I understood, the guys were supposed to replace the rotten wood on the side of the house and around both dormers, fix the soffit on the dormer, and paint the dormers white. Those items were not completed. I told him that he and I had different definitions of what rotten meant. Everyone in earshot recognized that he was dishonest and unprofessional in his dealings. I was particularly taken aback by his raising his voice at me on the phone. My husband showed the guys what the expectations were. After a while, the men packed up and left one piece of siding on my back deck. It was clear that this contractor had no intentions of replacing any of the rotten siding on the side of the house. The men only brought three pieces of siding to do the work; nothing was brought to replace the other rotten wood around the dormers. On Friday, November 29th, John contacted me to tell me that finishing the job would cost an additional $1500 in addition to the original price of $3800. I replied that the job was incomplete and that this process disheartened me. I would let him know what I decided. Based on his interaction and responses, it was clear that I would not reach a satisfactory resolution, so I decided not to follow up with him but with Angi's List instead."

FAQs for kitchen remodel projects in Eight-mile, AL

Your galley kitchen needs adequate clearance around any island installation to maintain functionality. Most galley kitchens lack sufficient width for traditional islands, as these layouts prioritize efficiency in smaller spaces.

If your kitchen has an unusual width, consult with a kitchen designer who can evaluate your specific dimensions and recommend appropriate solutions. For narrower spaces, consider alternatives like rolling carts or narrow work tables that provide additional surface area without permanently restricting movement.

Kitchen remodels require six to 10 weeks for completion, though timelines vary based on project scope and material availability. Simple updates like cabinet refinishing and countertop replacement might finish within a few weeks, while comprehensive renovations involving structural changes often extend beyond two months.

Planning stages add approximately four weeks before construction begins. Maintaining clear communication with your contractor and ordering materials early helps prevent unnecessary delays.

Common errors include insufficient clearance between opposing countertops, inadequate lighting that creates shadowy work areas, and poor storage planning that leaves countertops cluttered. Some homeowners select oversized appliances that overwhelm the space or invest in expensive features that don't address fundamental workflow issues.

Careful planning, accurate measurements, and consultation with experienced professionals help avoid these pitfalls and ensure your renovation successfully addresses your kitchen's specific challenges.

Whether expansion makes sense depends on your home's layout, your budget, and your long-term plans. Combining a galley kitchen with neighboring spaces creates more open, flexible layouts that many buyers prefer. However, removing walls involves substantial costs, particularly if they contain plumbing, electrical systems, or structural elements.

Sometimes, optimizing your existing galley layout through better storage solutions and lighting proves more cost-effective than expansion. Consult with a contractor to evaluate specific costs for your situation.

Effective galley kitchen lighting combines multiple sources to eliminate shadows and create visual spaciousness. Overhead fixtures provide general illumination, while under-cabinet lighting illuminates work surfaces directly. Consider recessed ceiling fixtures that don't protrude into limited headspace.

Lighting with dimming capabilities allows adjustment for different activities. Reflective surfaces like glass tile backsplashes or glossy cabinet finishes help bounce light throughout the space, reducing the corridor effect common in galley layouts.
