"I don't normally give bad recommendations, especially for a company that is obviously quite skilled at what they do but boy, do they need help in the customer service department. When I called for an initial quote, I had to call a couple of times to get an appointment for a quote. Julian came out, very nice and I enjoyed talking to him. He took measurements saying I'd get a quote in a couple of days. Called him a week or two later to check status, no answer; called office to check status, he called back and I finally got a quote. Hired Meza...the work was done well, workers were professional and courteous, the two decks look great and Julian, like I said, was pleasant to work with even tho initially slow to respond. After the decks were done, I decided to have more work done and Julian encouraged me to call back as soon as I was ready to have that work done, so I did...one ramp was a bit shorter than I wanted (slope is too steep for old people), decided to have rails put around the large deck plus continue the redwood walkway down the side of the house and add a larger planter box. Took a couple of phone calls to get Julian back out, but I figured they were busy catching up from having been shutdown because of covid. when we finally connected, he came out and again took measurements and promised a quote. Almost 3 weeks later and nothing. Called the office, they promised Julian would call me back the next day and nothing. A couple of weeks later, 2nd call, again promised Julian would call and nothing. A couple of more weeks, 3rd call, this time no answer at all so left a message asking to please hear from someone...it's now been 2 months since he came out to measure and still nothing. Obviously they don't want or need my business so I'll have to find someone else to do the rails, etc. And next year when I replace the fence around my backyard, I won't be calling them. I also went back to 2 people I had recommended them to and suggested they find someone else which is really too bad because they did do really good work but their lack of response is very discouraging."

"Demolished old fence and put up new fence and gate quickly and efficiently. Cleaned up yard very well. Crew was easy to work with and they were responsive."

"He's either on time or early.  He always delivers professional results in a friendly manner.  He's proactive and will help you anticipate/solve problems.  If thinks something you're asking for won't work well (due to quality/structure), he'll let you know.  He makes himself available on short notice whenever possible.  We're thrilled with the service and have no complaints whatsoever. We will use him again as needed.  We highly recommend him.

"They installed about 160 feet of redwood privacy fence with three gates and an additional gated enclosure for a heat pump. For the wood fence itself they did excellent work. Quality material and accommodated some unusual features which meant the entire job was done by one contractor. The owner suggested and installed special gate latches that allow entry with a code on a keypad, which actually got them the job. Their failing was the crew doing the work did not understand how that special gate latch worked, and how to construct a gate to properly use it. I am handy with tools so I was able to spend a day to modify and add to their work to make the latch work. Not everyone is in a position to do that. They over-promised in that crew doing the actual installation needed more guidance for a completely successful installation. So if you have a standard fence and gates with standard Home Depot style hardware, I would recommend them. But if you need something unusual they really are not able to handle it and you need to plan to get that skill set elsewhere."

An award winning provider, we started our business to build housing in the Sacramento area in 2004, then converted to home maintenance, repair, and remodeling in 2008 in the greater Bay Area. We work out of the Woodside/Redwood City area. We handle all work related to home maintenance and repair from "to do lists" to room additions, but our true passion is in remodeling kitchens and bathrooms.

"Sid doesn't cover our area and tried hard to give me a referral or some suggestions, ultimately he said if we still came up dry,  to call him back & he would make the drive our way. Very kind and helpful. Would love to find a handyman to work with like him in the Peninsula!!

"Amazing customer service and even Wilson made the whole quoting and buying process super easy! We shopped around for prices we came across the js fencing by looking up fence builder near me on Google and 2 other companies recommended them and now I can see why. When they delivered the gates, their delivery driver Kevin unloaded everything correctly and made sure we received everything we order. Very nice guy too. I highly recommend this place and we will definitely come back for repeated business with them."

"The deck repair was done expertly and cleanly."

"We found Michael (Frederick Jones) on Angie?s List and had
him paint the exterior of our house about a year ago.
We were very happy with
the quality of his work and we had looked at several bids and he was the most
competitive.
This last August we put our house on the market as we were
moving out of the area.
Our realtor advised us to have the house staged and
repaint the inside-which we did.
We
needed the work done in a timely manner as there were a lot of things we were
coordinating with a tight timetable.
The painter that was recommended by the
realtor gave a bid that we thought was high and also took way too long ? 9 days.
Then he said he was too busy for when we
needed the work done. In the meantime I contacted Michael again and got a bid
from him.
He gave me a bid on the spot and was able to start exactly when we
needed him and did it in less than 6 days.
As before, he did quality work and even did some things that we had not
foreseen that were not in the original bid (like painting inside closets) and he
didn?t charge us extra. And he was still $500 less than the other bid we had!  He had to work with a paint ?color expert?
from the realtor who was very demanding and particular.  Michael did a great job and was courteous and
friendly throughout.
I would highly
recommend Frederick Jones painting for any interior or exterior work.
Thank you Michael!
Sincerely,
Mike &
