"HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company!! They were very responsive throughout the entire project and their prices were the most reasonable of everyone else who gave me quotes. All of their work is high quality. For my front yard, they had to pull out existing grass and trees and then install new trees, sod, extend my rock wall, build a planter, create a stamped concrete walkway going to the side gate and create stamped concrete steps going up to the front door. They also installed stamped concrete and trees around the edge of the sidewalk, and a border around the grass. They installed a sprinkler and drip hose system. This was a lot of work and they completed the project within 2 weeks! The yard looks amazing and I am so happy with everything."

Small jobs welcome

"The work was high-quality, on time, at a fair price. Two weeks later, the new weatherstripping kept the dust out of our home during a storm. I’m grateful for the excellent work. "

"Thoroughly professional services; team is punctual and friendly. Explained reasons why certain features may not be right for our yard and proposed alternatives. Workmanship is excellent. It was/is a joy to interact with Mr. Serna and his team - we will be asking for their services again should the need arise. It is VERY difficult to find trustworthy services in this category in El Paso; I am still amazed that Landscape & Concrete Impressions was/is as professional as the experience has turned out."

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in El Paso, TX

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
