Mr. Dove didn't do the work.  It was two of his employees or subcontractors.  The installation of the wiring, ceiling fan and ceiling light went fine, but the drywall repair wasn't that good.  The texture they sprayed on the walls didn't even remotely match the existing wall texture, so their patch job was obvious.  Also, they didn't reconnect something in one of the outlets so only the top socket worked.  When I notified Mr. Dove, he came out the next day to fix it.  I was impressed by Mr. Dove's professionalism, and would hire him again provided he did the work.

"I had thought I purchase two hours of electrical service only to be informed that the actual work scope was essentially limited to changing light bulbs, fixtures on an existing circuit, or trouble shooting an existing problem....things that I can handle for the most part on my own. Even if I had all the materials to add a fixture onto an existing circuit, that was not considered part of the contracted scope. I also had been trying to arrange for someone to be home during period of time that service could be performed, and finally arranged for someone for an entire week (starting Monday 3/20) to permit the work to occur. "Regal put in a second bathroom last year. Sean, the owner, was very cordial and his crews were punctual, professional and did what appeared at first to be a flawless job. The problem was, however, that the skylight Regal installed was (it turned out) not appropriate for residential use and in colder weather drips condensation onto the floor; drops of water also bead around the perimeter and occasionally run down the slanted ceiling to the wall. We sent Sean photos of the problem, he suggested several things (including running the fan all night, maybe punching a small hole in the outside wall) and eventually promised to fix it. But it took months and numerous telephone calls to finally get one of his guys out to house. He tried putting extra insulation around the skylight's outside metal box and, when that didn't work, recommended replacing it with another model. Then he called back and said that wouldn't work either. We found Regal's reluctance to be quite aggravating and it got worse after we decided to hire another firm for a second project because it would save us thousands of dollars over what Regal wanted to charge. Shortly thereafter, Regal stopped returning our calls. Now we're stuck with the weeping skylight and are concerned about what the long-term effect might be.

"Zohar and his workers from Best Builders Group designed and implemented a new full kitchen for us that included all the appliances as well as the new floor, lightings, counter top and more…. The actual workers demolished completely the old kitchen and increased the back wall by few feet. They opened up walls to make the house space feel much larger. The workers were very reliable, clean, and professional and they did very high quality work. I felt comfortable trusting them in my house and doing all the work with support beams etc. Very knowledgeable and good group of guys. At the end of each day, Zohar made sure to be at the house OR to send someone to make sure that all the daily tasks have been accomplished. The cabinets were custom made by their cabinet maker so you can have anything done to your specifications. Definitely would trust Best Builders Group for your large important home improvements. You can be sure it is done right. They are pricey, so sometimes that is cost prohibitive for certain small jobs."

"There was an unexpected charge for punching a hole in the drywall and installing a five foot copper wire from nearest light switch box to feed to each of the 4 lights. There was a second upcharge to convert from 6 inch to the modern 4 inch diameter LED lights (expected). Unfortunately one of the workers started his work early failing to understand that 4 inch was to be installed, he cut a hole for 6 inch. Now the drywall has to be patched to close the hole. They were punctual, fast & cleaned up. There is more work to do, ie convert existing 6 inch incandescent down lights on the lower two floors, those total to about 15. This work was done on the third level. I would re-hire if these things were addressed."

"Tony has been Johnny's contractor for the last 8 years and has done a wide array of projects for us. There is nothing he can't do and see's that each project is done with quality craftsmanship. In the last 8 years he has helped us with all of the following and probably more! At the residence he has refinished an ADU structure that holds a brand new office upstairs and a gym facility in the downstairs. A complete swimming pool area. Remodel of stables. The project begin in late October 2013 and lasted until early February 2014. Because they were working with a general contractor the owner of RJB Electric, Richard Blakeman, needed to schedule their work when there was time available and they always worked around the general contractor's schedule. Throughout the 4 month process all of RLB's employees conducted themselves in a professional and knowledgeable manner and offered suggestions on some other electrical areas that were outside their agreed upon scope of work. On many occasions I was able to observe their work and their commitment to do the job correctly the first time was evident from the beginning. I really enjoyed Richard asking questions and making sure he had a clear understanding of what we really wanted to accomplish so the direction he gave his employees was both accurate as well as what we considered the best alternative (when it applied).

An example of one area that pleased the church happened early on when RJB found out that the entire batch of the most expensive lights we were to have installed were bad from the factory. His employees went through all of these lights and contacted the supplier and although it took a while for that company to finally make things right RJB always kept us up to date on the progress of getting this corrected. The end result of all their work is we are extremely pleased with all the lights being on dimmers as well as most of them being programmable so we can have different settings depending on the time of year.
