"
They were very friendly and professional and only lightly teased me about my lawn mover driving. I had previously determined that they were cheaper than the other major suppliers in my area when they installed the previous $ 14,000 fencing. As such, no estimate was required or needed to be approved and no down payment was needed for them to order parts, schedule and begin work. From our previous dealings they knew that I was willing to wait an additional two weeks for a normal factory delivery rather than special ship the needed fencing & parts. They arranged for the fence opening to be temporarily closed with some existing fence I had so that my dog did not escape. They offered me the removed parts that, although not needed for this repair, were salvageable for future damage. Without any prompting, they adjusted my gated for free. They left the work site in immaculate condition. I continue to be very pleased with Trent Welch, his installers, their product and their business practices.

"

"Highly recommended! Everything went very well. This is a well-run business and the peopIe are great. Their fences are beautiful, too. I also found the quote to be competitive and when the gate needed repair they were prompt and cost was fair.
Also, our home is in the Historic District so we had to jump through many hoops to get approvals before installing the fences. The team at Upright Fence was amazing - helpful and patient throughout the process.

"

"The fence is great; It did take a while from the time I made my deposit to the time the began work... but is IS spring :)

When I looked at the finished fence, I notoced the gate spacing was not equal on both sides. They came back the next day and replaced the hinges with ones that better allowed them to set the correct distamces form the side posts.

All in all... great product, professional and friendly crew.

"

"Our goal was to built a custom boulder wall to match our existing custom wall and have a custom firepit sit on the wall surrounded by a slate sitting area. We originally contacted Rotten Rock from signage that was placed in front of another job that we would admire on our drive. From the moment we connected with Rotten Rock owners Todd and Henry we were confident they were the right people for our challenging job. They started by taking us to a similar site to show us a recent job that was close to our plan. Needless to stay the job was amazing and gave us the additional level of confidence to make the commitment to move forward. Our job was very challenging and was completed in about 3-4 weeks and during those 3-4 weeks we were not at the house to manage any aspect of their work. Once the job was completed we drove up for the weekend to take a look. My wife and I were blown away. It actually looked like an extension of our yard/hardscaping that was always there. The boulder wall, the firepit, the tree removal, the slate and the new sod looked awesome together. Henry even said he picked out the matching boulders to match the existing walls. We get compliments on the work every week we are at the property and constantly get asked who did the work. I would highly recommend Rotten Rock to anyone looking to hire a quality landscape design/hardscape company to work on their property. Brian
"

"Although the project turned out to be more complicated and took longer than expected, this had little to do with
the builder or his sub-contractors. Primarily the delays were due to weather, financing issues, and poor
communications on the part of the town's code enforcement officer.
Let me address this last issue first. Everything seemed to be alright until the pad was poured. The code
enforcement officer was upset that she was not notified prior to the pouring of the cement so she could inspect
the forms and re-bar. This and quot;misunderstandingand quot; occurred because the CEO never communicated to either myself or the
contractor at what points during the project she wanted to perform inspections. However, from this point forward
the CEO seemed to question every aspect of the project. Demonstrating considerable restraint and diplomacy, most
of the time the contractor bowed to her demands (he was much , but drew the line at her trying to force him to
install a water shutoff valve in a location that would likely have caused our well pump to burn out. In this
case Greg Bragg stood his ground, backing it up with State of Maine statutes.
With respect to the weather, June 2013 was one of the wettest on record for Maine. As far as financing, the
magnitude and cost of the project exceeded what we had budgeted and we found out just how difficult it is to
secure financing for rental property, especially if you are setting up a used mobile home. Consequently, we had
to break the project into two phases.
The demolition of the old house and initial site preparation went very smoothly as can be seen in this 8 minute
YouTube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWaJEgV2iJE).
Getting the mobile home onto the pad was a bit more interesting since the ground was still very muddy from all
the rain we received in June and July. Fortunately, Greg Bragg of Bragg Builders had the foresight to keep a
bulldozer onsite. As can be seen in this 8 minute YouTube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ioZ1IFl-3CQ),
the bulldozer was absolutely essential.
The only other issue related to Bragg Builders portion of the project was a ruptured water line. Prior to
constructing the gravel pad a brand new water line was installed and was even packed in sand to ensure rocks
would not rupture the line. Unfortunately, a rupture occurred anyway. Fortunately, the contractor promptly
installed a new water line, at no charge to us.
"
