"Rob and his team did an amazing job installing our stamped concrete patio and pergola! It looks amazing! When we told him we were putting a large pergola on top of the patio he made sure to install extra support in all the right places after looking over the design. He was very communicative during the install and the quotes he gave were what was charged. Not a penny more. Very happy with the service and would recommend this company to family and friends."

Customers say: Quick response

"Tony was a pleasure to work with. His response time for an estimate and scheduling the job was outstanding. Very reasonably priced for the excellent work his employees created. His workers were very polite as well as neat, cleaning up after the job was finished. I had a sidewalk with steps created in my backyard as well as replacing concrete slabs on my driveway. Would not hesitate to call him again for another project."

"We recently had Red Rocks Concrete out to do a patio extension and sidewalk at our new house. We chose Red Rocks because of there high rating and good internet reviews. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our experience with the company. We chose to do a stamped concrete addition to our patio extension that differed from the unfinished concrete of the original patio. The company representative, Manuel, insisted that we could coat the original unfinished concrete to match the new stamped concrete. Disappointingly, the stamped pattern on the patio extension was badly out of alignment, and looked quite amateurish. Also, we began to develop cracks in the new cement a couple of weeks after completion. We made multiple phone calls to Manuel, and to the company office (which always went to voicemail) asking for someone to come out and address these issues, as well as setting up time a to recoat the original deck. We did manage to set up a couple of appointments, both of which we"

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Elizabeth, CO

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
